No reason for a mock-up to have intake covers (I think)
Will we be seeing FC-31/J-31 being incorporated in to the PLAAF or will it be only a naval fighter ? And what about China's export designated stealth fighter ? A lot of nations who are unable to source F-35 are possibly willing to commission a stealth fighter in their air force with in next decade or so (like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Egypt, Pakistan, Morocco , Thailand , few Latin American countries ,perhaps even European country like Serbia).
FC-31 is a separate program than the J-35, which has official PLAN fundings. It is more of a demonstrator for the tech used on the J-35. Only time would tell whether PLAAF would invest in the J-35 or go all in on J-20 and sixth gen.

There is no need to post links to off topic news or pictures (in this case, KF-21), merely for the sake of starting discussion.
We want to cut down on useless and off topic discussion on this forum, not encourage it.
On SDF we don't actually need to "drive engagement" or "encourage more activity" for the sake of it.
We want to have relevant and good quality discussion, and if it is not relevant, then we should learn that we all collectively have a responsibility to not post things and not discuss things as well.
