Hehe, he actually just pointed to that piece by someone else. I wasn't sure whether he approves of it or just throws it to us to give another angle of it. So I changed my original "recommended by" him to "pointed to" by him.
But he's very sure that the PLAAF won't have it. They will stick only to the J-20. This F-60 is meant for the Navy's choice, and potential export... In his words, the Navy will evaluate it against a navalized J-20... and CAC is also working on something smaller to compete for the Navy's attention ...
winning everything will not be too good for CAC too
and there is only so much left down the Flanker line for SAC, as it shows, it is high time they come up with something new
i would agree to the notion that this bird is for export, looking at it's size, power plant requirement, and purported role/capability
as to this as a naval bird, we have to look at some more pictures, especially the under carriage and wing design

Honestly, but I think its much too early to say the PLAAF will or won't have it. So far we are not even sure what it is for sure, it did not even fly ...
Besides that, a navalised J-20 - at least IMO - is completely nonsense ....

Welcome back, Deino! You are right that WE are not sure what it is. But some of these big shrimps sure sound a lot more sure than us as to what it is. And some of them do have a not-too-shabby track record to back up their sureness.
