So, SAC just presented a model of the FC-31 to the Pakistan Air Force Chief

In recently concluded visit of Chinese Premier where they signed Multi billion $ deals (46 Billion to be exact), they (PAK & SINO auth) kept > 11 billions for defense with several silent shopping items.
We know the shopping list of PN (8SSK/6FFG new + 4FFG (053H3) on lease) which will defiantly will not worth 11bns.
We know 40-FC20 (J10Bs) on cards (numbers may increase to 100), therefore IMO J31 will be very much on in small numbers maybe 40 (2sqd).
But time will tell......
Good, now that the Pakistani's have committed to the J-31. The Chinese should:
1. Tell them that they have to invest 2 billion dollars now to be a full partner.
2. Exaggerate the amount of tech transfer they will get.
3. Exaggerate the amount of work and business they will get.
4. Hype up the performence of the plane and then quietly lower the specs.
5. Low ball the unit and maintenance cost of the plane and then gradually increase it.
6. Give them an unrealistic date for the induction and then keep pushing it back.
7. Tell them they have to order their planes now or they will lose the money they have already invested.
8. And as the problems in the program piles up keep telling them that everything is just fine and that they are buying the best plane in the world.

Sounds like the F35 progamme to me.
Other than a lame attempt to smear the F-35...no, you didn't miss a beat.
In the mean time...F-35Bs are performing their operational testing aboard the Wasp. F-35Cs have been to sea and performed better than expected on the carrier. And F-35As are steadily being put in the field (the first complete wing of 48 aircraft was just completely outfitted in Florida).
...and an order for another 94 has just been placed which will see more planes going to Italy, Spain, the UK, Australia, Norway, Turkey, etc., etc.
But this is the J-31 thread, not the F-35 thread. So let's just leave it be.

Let's be realistic : Pakistan does not have the money to fund J-31 program , especially not alone . On the other hand, if China decides go with it, J-31 would certainly not be just a export fighter like JF-17 . After all, there is nothing more advanced in current or future Chinese inventory except maybe J-20 .
Therefore, things will get serious if PLAAF officially accepts J-31 as its new fighter. Until that, it's all just empty talk .

Why are the J-10Bs still on the cards? Is there any official statements Pakistan will purchase them? 40-100 J-10Bs in addition to whatever final numbers of JF-17s sound a bit pie in the sky.
