Compared with 075, 23900LHD really looks very bad in design,I don't think the deck area is fully utilized.
The number of landing positions is the same, though.

There is a very well-known superpower wannabe that is (in)famous for developing 'new technology' like this. So why does some Russians want to follow their example? Russia is much better than this. There is no shame in saying that Russia imported some Chinese Go1 robots and fitted them with RPGs. Then later on, Russia can make their very own M-81s to replace those Go1s.

There are optical sensors all around the this robot,how can you operate it normally it you covered all the sensor with fabric?

Despite all new vehicles shown it seems that Russia is beginning to produce older BMP's instead of BMP-3's. Maybe cost and the fact that BMP-3 has been proven to be a death trap.
Maintenance is probably easier and they have stockpiles of spare parts could be the reason why. In any case, old types have probably no foreign parts.

Sometimes you are returning to older types, even with f-22 and f-35, the US still buy new f-15...

BMP-3 chassis also served already in several types of Russian vehicles e.g Khrizantema ATGM carriers and of course exports for parts.

The main constraint for the BMP family is the fact they were set to be amphibious, means they have to have low density. Thus large volume and being light at same time. This constraining their protection scheme. (46% of an IFV is the Armor) and for BMD.. they have to be air droppable which constraint weight even more due to limits of parachutes, IL-76 and rocket retarder.

I would take that TASS news with grain of salt.

BMP-3's combat load is up to 50(?) high explosive shells, stored vertically btw so those shells are more likely to get hit, and detonation is likely as we've seen many times in Ukraine, but vehicle with only 30mm rounds is less likely to suffer from such catastrophic explosion.

Eh you forget that BMP-2 also bring Konkurs ATGM with it.

Where do you think the spare missiles are stored.
