Tests of the Russian hand-held net launcher "Spider" 2.0, designed to intercept drones at close range, developed by KPB Polet. We previously featured a drone interceptor with a net from this company. It's worth noting that the device is already in limited use in the army; a second version has been released, but the Ministry of Defense has not yet purchased these anti-drone systems en masse. The net launcher "Spider" 2.0 features a metal reinforcement in the central section and upgraded charges, increasing the target engagement range to 30 meters. The net launcher consists of a net and a pyrotechnic cartridge, and is designed for a single shot, after which it is reloaded. The net launcher is capable of:
immobilizing a flying drone, changing its flight path, or causing the drone to detonate if a contact fuse is installed. The net size is up to 2.7 meters. Detailed specifications are shown on the screen at the end of the video.

This first new built Tu-214 on new component base after 2023 arriving in Minsk from Kazan. It is special version not Civilian. Special version are capable of 13 hour flight duration.

composite materials and more efficient engines. longest operational range.
Production well into 2030s. I thought post 2030 PAK-DA will take the place of it.

The Su-34 fighter jet: the spearhead of Russian battles

The Su-34 is about 50% heavier than the Su-27, giving it more space for fuel and weapons. It is powered by more efficient AL-31FM2 engines and designed using higher proportions of composite materials, making it the longest operational range among all contemporary fighters worldwide
Among the most prominent features of the Su-34 is its ability to carry a huge and diverse arsenal, as it can transport ballistic missiles such as the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal and heavy glide bombs of the FAB-3000 type, in addition to long-range cruise missiles such as the Kh-65SE and Kh-SD with a range of 600 km
Russia plans to maintain production of the Su-34 until the late 2030s alongside the Su-57, with the integration of common technologies between the two aircraft to enhance their capabilities

The Russian Su-57 fighter jet made its first flight with the fifth-generation "Izdeliye 177" engine. Cutting-edge technologies, materials, and innovative design solutions have enabled the creation of an engine with significantly improved performance compared to previous-generation power plants. The fifth-generation "Izdeliye 177" turbofan engine is designed for tactical aircraft. The "Izdeliye 177" engine produces up to 16,000 kgf of afterburning thrust and boasts a longer service life and improved fuel efficiency compared to the previous generation of engines. The Su-57 is constantly being modernized, and the aircraft is already being exported. A full-scale mockup of the Russian-made 177S aircraft engine was unveiled for the first time at the Dubai Airshow 2025 (link below).

Su-57 got the fuel efficient version 5G engine. 5000km range expected. export version maybe less depend on material weight.16 ton thrust but interesting thing is no trace of NPO Saturn. AL-51 designer calls it 5.5G engine.
the design is under UEC-UMPO which is UFA based.

"Today, the Su-57 is the most advanced fifth-generation fighter. Despite this, we are not resting on our laurels, and the Su-57 platform is undergoing evolutionary development to enhance its combat capabilities and incorporate the most advanced technologies. The solutions incorporated into the Su-57 platform allow us to respond to any modern challenge through the rapid integration of technologies required at each stage of development," said Mikhail Strelets, Director of the Sukhoi Design Bureau of the UAC.

The advanced "Product 177" engine was developed by UEC for use in fifth-generation aircraft systems. This new engine delivers 16,000 kgf of afterburning thrust. The new engine also features reduced fuel consumption in all operating modes and increased service life
. During the flight, the new engine performed as expected and demonstrated reliable operation on the Su-57," noted Evgeny Marchukov, General Designer and Director of the A. Lyulka Design Bureau, a branch of PJSC UEC-UMPO, United Engine Corporation.

Perm futher east of Kazan is famous for Civil Aeroengines but with in few months of UKraine conflict the importance of Mi-26 and MIG-31 became clear. so they wanted to give credited to that specific designers but added word Character.
which other fighter built in 1980s can propel with external weopons to Mach 3. F-15C will simply falls apart.

First screenings of the film "Perm Working Character"

The film explores the history of Perm industry through the life of one of the most prominent figures of our time: Boris Izgagin, an aeronautical engineer and director of the Perm Motor Plant from 1973 to 1986. Viewers will be able to see unique documentary footage and photographs, learn the story of the D-30F6 engine for the MIG-31 aircraft and the gearbox for the Mi-26 helicopter, and trace the development of three modern Perm enterprises.

This another Samara built engine. they dont advertized it alot but any engine designed for greater than 24 hour flights with this much payload is second to none.

177 is also a SATURN product. OKB-165 or Lyulka Design Bureau is part of UEC-SATURN, AL-51F and 117/117S were designed by lyulka too. I think that AL-51F (SATURN) is the expensive engine reserved for the Su-57M and later variants and the 177 is the cheaper engine for Su-57ME and domestic and exported Su-75 LTA. Considering that Su-57S and Su-57E use the 117. And 177S will be an engine directed to reeplace Al-31F variants.

Perhaps UMPO will manufacture 177 and 177S.
NPO-SATURN (Rybinsk) will manufacture AL-51F.

In the past UMPO manufactured AL-31FP variants to india and others and Saturn manufactured AL-31FN to china and others but all of them were designed by Lyulka Design Bureau.

Lyula or OKB 165(Designs) -->UMPO (ufa city) manufactures the engines.
-->SATURN (Rybinsk, Yaroslavl oblast) manufactures the engines.

⚡️UAC has completed this year's deliveries of Su-35S aircraft

The United Aircraft Corporation of the Rostec State Corporation has manufactured and handed over to the Russian Defense Ministry the next batches of multifunctional Su-35S fighters. The aircraft have passed a series of necessary ground and flight factory tests and have been transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces.

“As part of the implementation of the target tasks set by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation for the delivery of particularly sought-after weapons and equipment to the troops, the crews of the Russian Aerospace Forces have accepted the Su-35S aircraft. It is very comfortable, ergonomic, and has a high level of reliability in operation. The aircraft is in demand in the troops, and the pilots love it. The Su-35S has performed well during the special military operation,” noted a Su-35S pilot of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

The Su-35 aircraft is designed to gain air superiority, including in difficult weather conditions and at great distances from the home airfield.

“The outgoing year was a record one for the production of combat aircraft. The production plan for Su-35S fighters has been fully implemented, and our aircraft manufacturers are already working on the program for next year. The Su-35S is one of the most sought-after aircraft in the troops. It has the largest number of destroyed targets during the special military operation. Among other things, it effectively strikes the enemy at record distances - several hundred kilometers. The Su-35S is capable of using the entire range of modern aviation weapons. It is equipped with highly intelligent electronics, including an advanced system of electronic countermeasures and defense. For its combination of advanced characteristics, the fighter rightly receives the highest ratings from pilots,” said Rostec.

“For the UAC enterprises involved in the fulfillment of the state defense order, 2025 has once again become a year of intensive work. A number of our factories have already coped with the production program for the current year. The rest are completing the execution of contracts. We are consistently increasing the production volumes of sought-after military equipment, fulfilling our obligations to the Russian Aerospace Forces,” said UAC General DirectorVadim Badeha.

The United Aircraft Corporation delivered the seventh and final batch of new Su-35S multirole fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces this year. The company reported that this year has been a record for combat aircraft production in Russia. The Su-35S is a 4++ generation fighter, requiring only 500 meters to recover from a spin.
The aircraft is equipped with an N035 Irbis-E passive phased array radar. The Irbis-E radar can detect targets with an effective reflective surface (ERS) of 3 m² at a range of up to 400 km. For example, Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missiles, with an RRS of approximately 0.5-0.7 m², can be detected at a range of approximately 250-300 km. Less visible American Tomahawk missiles with an image intensifier of 0.1-0.2 m² are detected at a distance of 150-200 km.

My take on Evolution of 5N63 series down to 92N6 in "weight department"

Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!

Clearly the antenna size have growth over years. Starting from 30N6. The growth are "inwards" in sense that the big antenna "plate" contains bigger main antenna aperture. This is result of advancement in technology that allows smaller electronics to fit inside the main aperture plate. The 92N6 noticeably moved the 77E6 IFF antenna in much lower position to the base of the plate compared to 30N6.
