The project aims at researching advanced aircraft technologies to replace the An‑124 Ruslan long-range heavy transport aircraft. The Slon will be used for transporting heavy and large-size freight for about 7000 km at 850 kph. The required length of the runway is 3 km.

the runway is shorter. the aircraft has winglets.

raft specifications call for transportation of heavy outsized cargo loads at a distance of 7,000 km (3,778 nautical miles) at a cruise speed of 459 kt with takeoffs and landings on runways as short as 9,843 feet. The maximum commercial payload capacity totals 180 tonnes, or one-third more than the respective figure for the An-124-100 (120 tonnes). The increase results from the intended use of the PD-35 turbofan, which produces nearly 50 percent more thrust (35 tonnes) than the Ivchenko-Progress/Motor Sich D-18T on the Ruslan.

As a result of the third iteration, TsAGI has introduced a number of corrections from the previous Slon layout. The most significant change involves an enlarged fuselage cross-section to accommodate bulkier cargo loads.

"It’s also noteworthy how Russia doesn’t really have any “modern” wide body jets, so those aren’t part of this order. Then again, I suppose the need for wide body jets will be more limited without international travel (though flying from one end of Russia to the other can take over eight hours)."

Depending on the definition of "modern" the Tu-214 and Il-96 are wide bodies. Roughly equivalent to 757 and A340. But whatever.

Russia certainly has its job cut out for them and management of Aeroflot was criminal to say the least. They always put the Russian aircraft industry dead last into their consideration and now Russia will pay for it. The old cesspool of executives at Aeroflot already either left or were fired.

Shooting of the Russian coastal missile system Bastion with an Onyx missile. Crews of the Bastion coastal missile system of the Russian Pacific Fleet, for the first time, fired missiles at a sea target with the Onyx anti-ship cruise missile. The Bastion missile system is on round-the-clock duty on the island of Matua, the Greater Kuril Ridge. The Bastion complex was put into service in 2010 and provides coastal protection at a distance of more than 600 km. The time to bring the complex into combat readiness from the traveling position is less than 5 minutes. From 2022, it is planned to re-equip Bastion complexes with new Zircon hypersonic missiles, the range of the complex will increase to 1.5 thousand km.

KLA will supply the Ministry of Defense with a batch of Su-35S and Su-57 by the end of the year

11.09.2022

Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after V.I. Yu.A. Gagarin handed over to the Aerospace Forces of Russia a batch of new Su-35S multi-role fighters, the press service of the United Aircraft Corporation reports.

The aircraft were tested on the ground and in the air in various operating modes. The fighters were accepted by the technical staff of the customer, after which they flew from Komsomolsk-on-Amur to the place of deployment in the Astrakhan VKS center.

“These 4++ generation fighters, built at KnAAZ, are completing the third contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense for delivery to the Russian Aerospace Forces. The first batch of combat winged vehicles was delivered in the fall of 2021, ”the UAC representative explained.

“The Su-35S is our key product today. This is one of the best aircraft in the world. It has great potential, and its construction at our plant will continue in the future,” said the director of KnAAZ im. Yu.A. Gagarina Alexander Pekarsh.

In 2022, the plant will also hand over the first Su-35S vehicles to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation under the next, fourth contract, informs Interfax.

At the same time, the supply of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces will continue this year. The machines of the 2022 plan are already being tested at the plant's flight test station. In total, the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Gagarin has already transferred six Su-57 fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces.

The first serial Su-57 entered the army at the end of 2020. In 2022, the Russian Defense Ministry should receive four production fighters of this type, two of which were transferred to the military in May. By the end of 2024, the Aerospace Forces plan to receive 22 more such aircraft. In total, by 2028, 76 fifth-generation fighters should be produced, which will equip three air regiments.

That's a big amount of aircraft to build in seven years ! Not sure that the Russian industry is ready for this but clearly it's a good news for them !
This basically clarifies the situation so that proper production plans can be drawn up. But do not expect a lot of production over next two years. Over next two years you will basically see production of SSJ dry up a bit and increased Tu-204 production plus taking Tu-204 out of storage and putting them into use. I expect SSJ production to shrivel until SSJ-New comes out. And MC-21 production is now only reported to be happening in 2024. I think this is wildly optimistic considering that they are going to change the avionics on the aircraft for Russian ones which are not even in flight testing.
