yesterday I missed the hilarious part:

they say they want to be second just to the USN!

point #41
"Россия не допустит существенного превосходства военно-морских сил других государств над Военно-Морским Флотом и будет стремиться к его закреплению на втором месте в мире по боевым возможностям."

I'm curious what the official translation would be, my off-handed is:

"Russia won't allow its Navy to be significantly surpassed by naval forces of other countries, and will aim at securing the second biggest [naval] combat capabilities [in the world]."

just LOL after I've been following for the last three+ years the Chinese naval buildup

Hehehe...it is already FAR too late for that.

China certainly has.

At this point I would say that Japan and INdia have...and probably Korea, with the excetion of the SSNs. The Russians still have some very decent SSNs...even the older ones, and those are dangerous to any other NAvy.

The US Navy can hunt them, as can the Japanese.

China is developing its ASW capability, but I am not sure how effective it is against the more capable SSNs.

LOL nah I don't like the masts (their number; placement; shape) on Project 20380:

anyway, now I searched for

news; found inconsistencies between wiki and other older info, and what's in the recent article

so: just a CG below!
20385_banner_01.jpg

I know it's obviously a CG, but I mean for example the number of "Redut" VLS cells (in the bow), "Kalibr" VLS cells (if any, aft), AShM canisters (not shown above) could be different ... time will tell

Detalle de la remodelación de las holguras en la corbeta proyecto 20385
Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!

"It was already known that the Cortes project 20385 was to have structural reforms with respect to the 20380 and as it has been seen to the first 20385 because you can leave aside the models and check directly what they have retouched; Apart from the main mast and the withdrawal of the secondary.

As you can see the same has been remodeled so that it is now more "open" ..."

and at this moment señor shows this:
20385%2Bdiferencias%2B2.jpg

huh? should I perhaps tell him the article I quoted Wednesday at 5:39 PM describes the new hull of Project 20385 (as compared to Project 20380)?

Además, las holguras que antes había en los costados de la estructura principal han sido "cegadas".

Habrá que ver qué han hecho en el puente porque puede que también haya sido modificado.
"In addition, the clearances that had previously been in the sides of the main structure have been "blinded".

We will have to see what they have done on the bridge because it may have also been modified."

As the heir to the substantial Soviet missile arsenal, Russia boasts the widest inventory of ballistic and cruise missiles in the world. Russia remains a major power in the development of missiles of all kinds, and Russian strategic rocket forces constitute a significant element of Moscow’s military strategy. Russian missiles perform a wide variety of missions, from anti-access/area denial in local conflicts to delivery of strategic nuclear weapons across continents. A significant modernization program continues in Russia, producing new variants of both ballistic and cruise missiles with significant new capabilities. Russia is also making major advancements in the field of precision guided cruise missiles.

Russian navy is a submarine one,and at 64 units is quite big.Plus naval aviation, second only to US in my opinion..

ooh la la
"... low speed “Pugachev’s Cobra” transitioning to a tumbling back flip followed by a side-slip to an inverted spin and then a classic recovery gained by pointing the aircraft’s nose to the ground to regain lost energy in exchange for altitude. The entire sequence is flown at altitude that presumably lives little margin for error, making it even more thrilling."
