Floating Russian BMP-3s are rarely shown, there are rare shots of training with them. In the video, a BMP-3 with Mangal protection is crossing the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. The BMP-3 additionally has floats installed on the sides, apparently the protection made the structure heavier. Despite all the talk that floating BMPs are needed, there were only a few videos with them. The debate about whether they should float or not is still ongoing. It is worth noting that floating combat equipment is needed to create a crossing and a bridgehead on the other bank.

Russian Tu-22M3 bombers carried out a planned flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea. Russian Su-30SM and Su-27 aircraft provided escort. The flight lasted more than 4 hours. F/A-18 Hornets of foreign countries also flew alongside them on some sections of the flight.

Considering that Russia did a recent push over a river in the northern part of contact line in Ukraine, I would say forging capabilities are still needed for sure. I dont think this is going away anytime soon. Just wished they moved onto the BMP-3 Manul instead though.

Putin demanded to ensure the fastest and highest quality development of the UAV industry
In this regard, I would like to note that we are currently creating troops of unmanned systems as a separate branch of the armed forces. And we must ensure their fastest and highest quality deployment and development," the head of state said.

Russian President calls for timely formation of orbital group of devices

He also spoke about the importance of introducing digital technologies and AI in the creation of new weapons.
"An important area of work remains the development of space forces. It is necessary to complete the formation of the orbital group of space forces in a timely manner and in full. ‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ ‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ ...

The effectiveness of the Pantsirs defending Moscow has been assessed

Pantsir-S Commander: Anti-aircraft missile and gun systems defending Moscow are exchanging information

The Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun systems (ZRPK), which provide protection for Moscow from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), have received new missiles with an increased range and a unified system for exchanging information. The effectiveness of the systems was assessed in a report

.

"Even the Israeli Iron Dome is not as effective as our Pantsir system. They can work together. They communicate with each other and I can see what the neighboring vehicles see. That is, for example, a neighbor has fired off all his ammunition, he has nothing to shoot with, then he gives me target designation (TsU) and I can destroy the UAV using this TsU," said the commander of the complex with the call sign Moscow.

It is noted that the low-flying drone with a plastic body is "just a fly" for air defense radars. During a special military operation in Russia, an electronic system was created that is capable of plotting the expected flight route of the drone while it is in a blind spot. The program calculates the area in which the drone can be detected again.

that the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun system used a new anti-aircraft missile to repel a drone attack. The Ukrainian An-196 was hit by a 57E6M missile with a range increased to 40 kilometers and a kinetic warhead.

200Km altitude and 600km target intercept range. 7km/sec target speed. This specification matches from few years ago and S-550 is more of space defense system.

What a stupid biased article. If you read it you would assume Vostochny spaceport isn't operational. But it has two pads already. One for Soyuz 2 and another for Angara. Recently the airport also became operational so satellites can be delivered by plane close to the launch site.

The article also makes it seem like Rogozin was useless, but he built Vostochny spaceport, the new Angara factory at Omsk, and got Angara operational. After two decades of hesitation by the Russian space sector. This also happened after the 2014 US sanctions so talk that the Russian space sector only advanced because of some "precious" US funding is clear bullshit. If anything ILS only delayed the onset of Angara. The US "partners" at ILS wanted to continue using the old hypergolic Proton forever to keep the launch insurance costs down. They didn't want to eat the cost of higher insurance in a whole new launch vehicle without a proven flight history.

Rogozin only failed IMHO at not taking care of the satellite side of the business properly, he focused too much on the launchers. He then got caught with his pants down with the sanctions on space grade semiconductor and satellite imports. Which is why this new guy was put in clearly.

Soyuz 2 is also the cheapest launcher in the market. It costs like half the price of Angara. Which is why it is still used.
