R-Pharm may begin importing medical equipment from Chinese MinFound to Russia

The Chinese manufacturer of tomographs MinFound registers its products in Russia, and R-Pharm may distribute it. Kommersant writes about this with reference to a source familiar with the company’s plans . MinFound International Product Director Nathan Xu confirmed that the company is registering positron emission and X-ray computed tomography machines with R-Pharm, and the parties have entered into an exclusive license agreement.

A representative of Roszdravnadzor said that the agency received documents from R-Pharm for registration of five ScintCare computed tomography systems produced by MinFound; the registration procedure has not yet been completed. The R-Pharm press service noted that this does not mean that the company intends to register the tomographs. They also did not confirm plans to import MinFound equipment.

According to Nathan Xu, the Chinese manufacturer plans to register other medical equipment together with R-Pharm, and is also considering the possibility of localizing production in Russia.

Government purchases of computed tomographs in Russia in 2023 decreased by half year-on-year in physical terms (to 204 units) and in money (to 9.8 billion rubles). This could happen due to the fact that foreign manufacturers were playing it safe all last year, confirming that their products were not subject to any sanctions, suggested the head of MDPro, Alexey Vanin. Purchases of medical equipment from Japanese Canon Medical Systems, which is also supplied by R-Pharm, decreased almost threefold, to 1.6 billion rubles.

According to Eqiva CEO Daria Shubina, Western sanctions have not affected medical equipment, and global manufacturers continue supplies to Russia. Over the past two years, they have worked out logistics and can, although with delays, deliver products, including from their factories in China, she noted.

The Russian Ministry of Defense switches from Toyota Camry to Chinese Hongqi H9

At least two of these cars already have “MO” license plates

According to the resource Motor.ru, the Russian Ministry of Defense has at least partially replaced Toyota Camry sedans with Chinese cars.

Two cars with license plates with the prefix “MO” have already been spotted on the roads. Previously, these numbers were seen on Japanese sedans, and now they are on the Hongqi H9. Prices for such cars at dealers start at 7.8 million rubles.

Hongqi H9 is the flagship of FAW. This car is more than 5.1 meters long, rear-wheel drive, longitudinally mounted engine, albeit with a volume of only 2 liters, although there will be an all-wheel drive version with a 3-liter V6.

High-speed railways are an impetus for the development of Russian regions​

The wider Russified version of German high speed train is capable of 290km/hr and that is like decades old technology. At 10 year anniversary in 2019 they gave various statistics like Chinese are using it 6 times more than American. when you think about it this project was conceived in early 2000 and within few years it was implemented at less than $3b. this gives plenty of experience in operations.

In 2019, the most active users of Sapsan were the Chinese, Italians, Indians, Spaniards and Americans. Moreover, there were 6 times more Chinese than Americans. The Moscow River is almost as many times longer than the Neva.

there is Toyota LC already when ever outside city and better test all to know long term reliability.

Just before the conflict Toyota certified Programme include import used vehicles upto 6 years old. this is like telling every one that Toyota parts will be available for long time. i think Toyota expect LC life span minimum 25 years and with proper maintenance easily 40 years.

Bank of Russia holds coordination meeting of BRICS countries’ central banks​

The participants in the meeting that took place on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund’s Spring Meeting exchanged opinions on various issues. The topics discussed include the formation of the payment (BRICS Bridge) and settlement and clearing (BRICS Clear) infrastructures, improvement and expansion of the mechanism of the BRICS Pool of Conventional Currency Reserves, macroeconomy, information security, fintech, transition finance and training central banks’ personnel.

The Bank of Russia reported on the progress of its work relating to the initiatives of the Russian presidency and on the nearest scheduled events and meetings of expert groups.
The Bank of Russia pays great attention to the coordination of the central banks’ positions and compliance with the principle of consensus-based decision-making. Gulnara Khaidarshina, Director of the Department for Cooperation with International Organisations, pointed out that smooth integration of new BRICS members into the formats of operation of the BRICS financial track was a key task of the Russian regulator. The Bank of Russia bears in mind the differences in the mandates of the central banks and takes this into account when preparing the agenda and promoting multilateral initiatives.

AVTOVAZ for the environment: the first hybrid LADA has already rolled off the assembly line​

At the ongoing Autonet conference, AvtoVAZ representative Alexander Vinogradov shared information about new directions for the company’s development in the field of hybrid technologies. According to him, the company believes that this type of drive has greater potential than all-electric systems.

AvtoVAZ has already started developing its first hybrid car. The all-wheel drive model will have a classic internal combustion engine, which will drive the front wheels, and an electric motor on the rear axle. This concept involves an effective combination of traditional and innovative technologies.

According to the Autopotok channel, the new hybrid is being created on the basis of the Niva Travel SUV, but there is no official confirmation of this information yet.
