Rumour time again - possible PLAN deal for Ka-52 helicopters

Familiarization with the design ideas and through experience from actual use of Ka-52 may quicken the timeline of concept design and development of China's own heavy attack helicopter, presumely a new derivative dedicated attack chopper derived from Z20 or even Z8L (reference to South African Denel Rooivalk attack helicopter which is a development based on Aerospatiale SA-330 Puma).

IMO, acquisition of Ka-52 is positive steps for both Russia and China, if the deal comes true.

How much is the price of Ka-52 roughly? how many do you think China would buy? 30 ?

Sorry, I don't think anyone here can answer that at this moment. If this deal is true, then may be we can get something from the coming Zhuhai air show.

nice, "only" $720M total ... just buy it as long as the Russia can produce quick enough and it can be integrated to the Chinese system, possibly with Chinese radar and software

Is there any estimate price tags for the z-10,z-19,z-20?

In fact, I would go several steps further to suggest that China and Russia should probably strike a deal for China to purchase a dozen of Russia SSN Yassen-M to counter the AUKUS submarine deals. This will NOT involve technology transfer and it is large enough to incentivize Russia. This would send a strong signal of China-Russia de-facto alliance and deter the adversarial block. I'll probably post my thoughts to the AUKUS thread as it is off-topic here.
Everyone up in their tits over this AUKUS accronym even though the first sub won't be delivered till next decade (probably mid) and the rest 7 following in another 10-15 years. A lot can happen until then.

China might displace the US as the World largest economy. US might re-elect the stable genius Trump or one of his underlings. UK might be broken up with Scotland voting Scoxist. China might have 6-8 CVs in services and numerous SSNs.

But still this Yassen-M idea is interesting. It will certainly revive Russia shipyards business. Russia could reciprocate and buy 075 from China. IMO I don't think China should overreact to this old-rebranding alliance name. For it's worth, it has shown ASEAN states where Australia stands. Maybe might draw Vietnam and Indonesia to become more neutral.

This was very OT but I wanted to response to the interesting Yassen suggesting but I went off the rails.

So this Ka52 purchase has went from "BS fanboi fantasy" to "sure thing, absolute winner all around" in about a week! Deino will be pleased!

Ka-52 is never in the category of "fanboy fantasy." It's not some fancy toy that is beyond the capability of China or something of that nature. The arguments are a bunch of pragmatic tradeoffs and compromises that I believe both professionals or fanboys are struggling with.

Since during the last days the rumours concerning a possible deal gained an increasing intensity and since this topic is discussed now in several threads, I decided to merge these posts in one dedicated thread ... so either this will remain a rumour, a hoax only or it will evolve into a story similar to the Su-35 deal.

We'll see ...

I've allways thought that KA 52 was the best item to fill Q5 retirement for CAS missions given the fact that China hasn't neither A10 or SU25 like planes. The CAS mission can be carried by a mix of attack Helis like KA 52, UAVs and long range guided munitions (HJ 10 ?), letting J10 and J16 for air interdiction (F16/F15E type missions, long range behind line of contact).
