Humanoid and robotic equipment sort out parcels at the Jianggao logistics site under the Guangzhou postal center of China Post Group Co., Ltd. in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province, May 29, 2026. The logistics site recently introduced some humanoid robotic sorters to undertake jobs including parcel sorting and identification, capable of processing up to 1,200 parcels per hour.

The Guangzhou postal center has been strengthening its technological capabilities in recent years by upgrading automated sorting equipment including robots, robotic arms and unmanned forklifts. Interesting how Xynova Flex 2 has a payload of 12kg down from 30kg for flex 1 hand. Economic value of dexterity is higher than strength, similar to how chimpanzees have stronger grip than humans but are far worse at using tools, even simple tools like a stick. Strength and dexterity will only be needed in industries like construction and health care, far easier to start with manufacturing.

UBTECH teases a "bionic robot" under its sub-brand UWorld 优世界, positioned for "emotional companionship". This robot comes in male and female versions. The official pre-sale starts today, full price is yet to be disclosed; down payment is 3000RMB.

According to the company, this full-size super-bionic humanoid robot is designed for emotional companionship and will be officially announced on June 30th and shipped before September 15th.
