I wrote up a thread here about why I think vacuum robot could be the home service robot of the future rather than humanoid robot. Does anyone actually want a droid walking around in their homes at night time?

I now have a thread here of everything on this robot talking which I will talk about more and more.

I mean people are okay with servants living in their homes. Once you get used to it you get used to it.

true story. I was sleeping one night and my Roomba suddenly started doing stuff. Woke me up & scared the shit out of me. I got rid of it and never bought another one since then.

So no, I personally would not be okay with a droid walking around in my home when it's dark.

There is a large robot vacuum at my office, maybe five feet tall. All black, and moves very quietly when it's not cleaning. A number of folks have complained about it suddenly scaring the shit out of them.

Drone show in Liuyang where the drones were programmed incorrectly and dropped pyrotechnics too low.

Accident aside, drone swarms dropping incendiaries are a terrifying prospect.

Jianyushu G1 has learned new skills: move chairs, climb onto the table, roll and jump down! The motion tracking performance of humanoid robots is largely determined by the retarget redirection quality! Amazon FAR (Frontier Al & Robotics) lab from Amazon.com has proposed OmniRetarget: It can generate high-quality interactive and retention data from human movements, helping to learn complex humanoid robotic skills at minimal reinforcement learning (RL) costs
