What the hell did I just watched ? What a load of balls. So obsessive about China and the No. 1 spot.

Meanwhile back in China, no one cares, everyone just get on with their lives and make their way through the day.
I think you got to live here in North America, to realize what was in this clip was really important.

1. Even though it is true that China looms large in the American psyche, that is not the important point.

2. Apparently the 5 most powerful organizations in America from this video, an opinion is that it is
1) universities
2) US Congress
3) the president
4) social media
5) mainstream media.

This is a shock to read, but you know what, this is true. The woke stuff in America, BLM etc, which went global came out of the universities.

Look at yourself dear sir, I love the posts you have on Hong Kong posted that comes from Facebook, but the news about Hong Kong from traditional media sources kind of suck.

3. It will be traumatic for the Americans when China surpasses it as a larger economy, just like it was a bit traumatic for Japan. When that day comes, the Americans will not know what to do, they will be in shock. No one says this out loud in the mainstream US media, they still largely in denial.

Germany did not ban Huawei. We generally do not see any news about that in the US media. They still report most countries in Europe will ban Huawei, which is a total lie.

(Then you add in the traumatic events externally for the Americans, ie the rise of China, to the traumatic events internally for the Americans which we have to list nowadays ... not sure what will happen next, but I think the CCP should work under the assumption that globally American political leadership is near dead).

The dumb questions people ask about China in Google, and a few not so dumb.

There is a question here that is not asked, and yet the video answers it all by itself. Is Winnie the Pooh banned in China? Go to 1:05 at the video and look closely at the toy shelf behind our host as he visits a Disney store.

This is beautiful video wow I am moved by the artistry of paper making and the story of her life and love for China
China is slowly returning to her age old position as repository and beacon of Oriental culture and attracting more and more of neighboring country young people. You can activate the english subtitle by clicking on CC-> click subtitle-> auto translation and choose english

Kim Su Jin, a post-85s Korean, grew up watching Chinese wuxia movies. She came to China since high school and later was attracted to papermaking. She graduated from Tsinghua University 4 years ago as a postgraduate. Now she concentrates on how to create beautiful art works with paper in her studio every day. She has received several international major awards. ‘In the past 18 years, my teachers and friends gave me so much love. I want to repay them by introducing what I’ve learned to more people,’ said the young artist.

Interesting CGTN Liu Xin discuss recent western MSM attack against "China friendly youtuber" citing circumstantial evidence The Times charge those youtuber are paid by CGTN because they participate in discussion with CGTN

British newspaper The Times published an "investigation" titled "Beijing funds British YouTubers to further its propaganda war" on January 9, claiming that several overseas YouTubers living in China are funded by the Chinese government to produce pro-China propaganda videos. The Point invites the YouTubers mentioned by The Times to respond to the content of this report.

Documentary about China and the economy from 2019.

@horse

Great video bro, thanks for uploading, Yup Deng is the catalyst but without the foundation that Mao and the party had established, he won't succeed.

One more thing, they all believed in the CCP, they stayed united thru hard times and was tested in 1989. Successful revolution usually come from within.

This is a really fascinating early mid-'00s documentary on rehabilitation of the Loess Plateau, the birthplace of Chinese civilization.

It also unintentionally shows a lot about rural Chinese poverty (especially the scenes in the '90s) and village life. They're still very poor in the mid-'00s. Even today, this part of China is falling further behind.

My thoughts:
  • Initially they had no idea how to restore the environment; they learned a tremendous amount from the villages.
  • The herding of goats and sheeps was tremendously destructive.
  • The Five Eyes author ignores this, but the CCP's heavily involved. For instance, there's a meeting in 23:18, where the rural cadres order the village "comrades" to gather for a "people's meeting" to discuss reforestation. Conveniently this part is left untranslated.
(Btw, how many of you all can understand the accent? I could barely understand a single thing!)

@Hadoren ,

The Narrator and producer of that video is Dr John Liu, A Chinese American, I have seen his other video and he is very proud of what they, the Chinese can achieved especially on impossible task as turning the dessert into green. He suggested that terraforming is possible and show the Loess Plateau as an example.
