The updated Sanya image of Google Earth appears to have the following:

A sub about 98 meters in length.

Two warships about 155 meters in length.

One warship about 178 meters in length.

I suspect these are:

A Type 093 sub.

There's new image for Jianggezhuang base as well with two 094, one 093 and one 091 (IMHO)

The two 052C destroyers 170 and 171 --- the VLS appears visible.

One of the replenishment ships.

Note demagnetization facility.

Interesting.

You missed one more sub of the same dimensions and 3 53H3. The replenishment ship should be 887.

That one appeared not too long ago but has been noted. Its a Dec. 8 2007 shot. If you look around there are actually six subs in the area. To break it down, based on their lengths and beams, there is one 092 which is the Xia after she got refurbished, she being about 120 meters; two 091, both refurbed because their coatings are still so new and black both about 91 meters; and three 093 based on the 98 meter length.

Yeah I missed the second sub in Sanya. Another 98 meter sub, probably a 093.

That makes it six 093 visible from GE alone. There is a 093 parked in Xiaopingdao near Dalian.

it's possible that some of them are the same sub though. But it does make sense to have 2 093s + 1 094 in Sanya. I'm also thinking that there might be a 091G in Sanya. And then I'm guessing there are probably 2 093s in Jianggezhuang. The additional one might be visiting there, it makes sense to me for things to be in pairs. And probably 1 other undergoing sea tests and the final one in Xiaopingdao. Eventually, probably at least 2 in each of the bases.

My estimate is something like this:

Jiangghezhuang:

2 091G
2 093 at least, no more than 4
1 092
1 094?

Xiaopingdao:

2 093
1 094

Sanya:

2 091G
2 093
2 094

I believe there is a ratio of 2 escorting SSN to 1 SSBN.

My Jiangghezhuang estimate is based on the 092 still being an SSBN or SSGN. But if it is converted to an attack sub, my estimate can be revised like this:

2 091G
3 093
1 092
3 094 (eventually or it can be zero if the base becomes a pure attack sub base.)

In which case, its a real possibility that there are indeed 6 attack subs stationed in JGZ if the 092 is converted to an attack sub, since you get a proper 3 pairs.

I asked to discuss of oversea bases and gwadar several times but nobody said nothing. By the way I believe that in the short term cinese ships could host for several days in Gwadar, if they whant a sort of regular presence in Arabic sea. Onother port, as happened last week (just for several hours) could be Aden (Yemen).
Gwadar indeed could be a future PLAN base - but now as I know paks and chinese Navy first go to play games:

one of the best picture I've seen recently from SSF with 170, 168, 570, 998 and a 094. I think it looks like 094 got PSed on there.

We have seen a separate picture of the two subs in the end. I probably don't think it is a PS considering we all know these ships are sharing the same base anyway. The second conning tower there is actually a Type 093 which makes the picture more remarkable. Parts of Jiangweis appear in the background.

I was researching about the possibility of ships assigned from a different base or fleet would ever go to another base that belongs to another fleet. Based on the patterns of surface ships, which I also believe holds the pattern for deployment also for submarines, this seldom and I emphasize rarely happens.

Like for example, we never saw the 051C in any other base rather than Dalian's. Nor have we seen the 052C or 052B in any other base except in the SSF,and the only time the ships appeared back in Shanghai was either for some ceremony or for maintenance with the shipyard. For the most part these ships pretty much stayed in Hainan. I have never seen the 167 in any ESF or NSF base either.

Chances are much higher the subs we see on the three bases are unique, although its possible the subs in Jianggezhuang and Xiaopingdao may still interchange as both are NSF bases. But chances are very good, the subs in Hainan we see in Google Earth are not the same as the ones that appear in Jianggezhuang or Xiaopingdao.

A boat assigned to one fleet, pretty much stays that way throughout its life.
