You mean like how Tiawanese CEO of US Nvidia went on stage to personally debunk the moon landing hoax

How do we force a submarine to surface without actually attacking it and starting a conflict/war?
not an expert on this, but if a sub is tracked and refuses to surface it will give away all its under water signatures to the tracker, to avoid that, it has to surface.

Hell would probably freeze over before a USN SSN Captain surfaces due to "sonar pressure" in peacetime. Or the captain of ANY SSN, regardless of nationality, for that matter.

Those rumors - especially as brought forward - are a complete and utter fabrication, something pretty evident to anyone that understands even in a rudimentary degree the specifics at hand.

Well there was plenty of close contact and the sub surfaced. Was it under the water or surfaced the entire time would be an worthwhile question but while they weren't surfacing (assumed) because of active sonar, they would surface to either avoid having signatures observed and catalogued or they surfaced (assumed) to avoid being found. Whether they were detected or not is unknown.

It could have been a case like the Russians sailing their non-AIP older Kilo class to Syria many years ago where they sailed surfaced through waters where European navies were closely listening.

The submarines are not any kind of alien technology and they are not captained by hot-headed people. There are many reasons for being forced to surface, a look at the previous posts would make that clear to you.

While I am not sure of the details for this particular incident (if it even happened), I wouldn't make such grandiose statements like there is zero chance that a submarine could be forced to surface.

Submarines follow the law of physics and their Captains, I am sure, know the implications of what it means to be pinged by the sonar 24/7
