OK ladies, roll back the curtains and lets show MR. KWAI the Grand Prize, Mr. KWAI its a brand new SAK design J-15S, that's right, carrier qual with a friend in your new Zinc Chromate J-15S, who needs paint, this will impress all your "sport biker" friends, no more bragging that their GSXR-1000 or Busa will beat your ride! O-150 mph is 4 seconds flat! with HOT tractor green corrosion resistant wheels!

Tax, Title, License, and FUEL are the responsibility of the winner!

We could have a ball with one of those Kwai! fly it out of Spirit of St. Louis, take off, clean it up, level out and accelerate to about 200 knts then pitch to the vertical, well maybe about 250 knots, that's a big heavy airplane, we could prolly get to 7000, maybe 8000, before we pulled through inverted, LOL.

We'd both prolly have to change our "Pampers" though??? but I'd love to try it, at least once. LOL

As far as I know the hook was only installed in the prototype .

That looks more like the hook on land based aircraft here in the states that catch a hook on military runways in case of brake failure, it doesn't look heavy enough for carrier operations.

To be very honest, I rather doubt I'd want to try that off the ramp, I don't think its got enough POOP to fling itself off the ramp????

Deino, how did they modify the tail, verts or horizontals?? I was just reading that the F-16 had to have the horizontals enlarged and modified in order to prevent deep stalls from "stabilizing", there was an override button on the stick, to allow the pilot to "pitch" the aircraft independently from the FCS.
