Someone ask fzgfzy why are US and Euro high high definition satellites can't see it, and no reports on 001A. fzgfzy's reply was of course they saw it already, and very early. ( So.. Is that mean US and Euro just don't want to release photos and report news regarding 001A to the public as well?

And I thought CJBDY will shut down for a month after the weekend, but it's still up and running.

Foreign intelligence agencies (or any intelligence agency) will never reveal what they know unless it is absolutely necessary to achieve certain objective. They do not spend billions of dollar on super high resolution spy satellites just to please a very tiny segment of general public's curiosity.

The purpose to such extensive restricted control of intelligence is so not to have unintended "uncontrolled' intelligence leak once such intelligence is out, as it will be pass along and spread uncontrollably which can create unintended consequences outside the control of the states or military.

The first picture appears to be a module, but in this case not only it appears to be in a diferente berth, but also im not sure if its the same shipyard. Too blurry.



Actually, those 2 Sterns look quite differently. Compare the right side of the two. Also the opening in the dalian hull doesnt match the one from the kuznetzov class. But that unsurprinsing. I dont expect china´s first carrier to be a copy of a russian carrier.

Yes, the first pic is the same one we saw few days ago. He was suppose to release these pics Aug-23-2015 as second year commemoration, but he was worry about CJDBY server shut down, so.. he kinda of release that pic early in case the site is down.

I think the important part of the second pic is the red banner slogans. You don't put up those banner up for non important military ship.You can see those on J-20 pics too. (I can only tell the last part: (guarantee achieve mission)

As for the other pics, let the expert decipher which is which, I'm only re-posting them because is from fzgfzy.:)

Judging by the current images, there is just no way that can be a bulk carrier that the DL ship yard are constructing.

I believe this is the bow, if so if you foward your attention to the size of the bulbous bow it's obvious it will not house any sophisticated sonar equipment.That may or may not suggest anything but it's worth consideration.

It's also too slim to become a super carrier if it's the bow since the side wall is too vertical to compensate the top heavy situation. You can verify this by comparing it with a US super carrier bow section.

samurai, i think that equation was comparing a picture of the dalian hull (which due to an error, doesnt show on the post) to that picture of a (clearly) bulk carrier being built. It is diferent ships.

But could that be ??? if You look at that image - dated 10. March - ... is it really possible to build a vessel such fast from these few parts sitting in a dock to a now - 23. August - nearly complete hull ???
