PLA Strategy in a Taiwan Contingency

You still don't have the brains to figure out anything than exact reciprocal answers to challenges. That's the disappointing and sad reality. Every country answers to its own strengths; the US in international politics and China in technological innovation. Only the foolish answer his enemy's strengths with his own weaknesses just because they are in the same type of action.

Imagine being foolish enough to demand China must follow the path of the US. Look at where following that path has brought the US today.

Well in the long term, let’s see how badly Trump ruins the USA first in the next half year. It’s not like China doesn’t know where those weapons are, nor does China not have agents all over Taiwan to act at a time when China is ready. Not to mention the more weapons they send to Taiwan, the less weapons the USA has for itself provided the rare earths ban is still in play.

Also all those weapon sales on paper and yet we don’t see much in terms of delivery to Taiwan. Is Taiwan bankrupting itself from buying downgraded weapons that will never make it to Taiwan because at the end of the day, Taiwan is lead by a stupid bullshit artist that has yet to deliver anything Tangible in terms of results ever since the DDP party is first in power.
No, Taiwan’s economy is actually doing quite well because of chip and other exports. That is giving Lai and the DPP a false sense of confidence when poking China in the butt. In terms of GDP growth, it actually has the fastest growth rate (faster than Mainland China, too) among developed nations/regions. You might ask why China is not sanctioning Taiwan. That’s because if Beijing were to put a trade and rare earth embargo on Taiwan, it would be very hard NOT to cause collateral damages to China friendly companies and partners on the Island. China also still imports TSMC chips, and it will be while before China can jettison its dependence on TSMC. As the who gym boss and other defections from former DPP camps have shown, the biggest headache for Beijing is not how to defeat Lai and the DPP but how to avoid friendly fire that could end up turning friends into foes.

AI related economy is doing quite well. Most people in Taiwan aren’t in that economy.

By this metric Dow Jones’s just hit 50k points in the states. Everything must be going super well right???

Not so fun fact — the DPP counts Taiwan owned factories in the Mainland as part of the ROC economy. That must be generating so many high paying jobs on the island.

Most of the wage growth in recent years has been concentrated in the tech industry, and a large section of Taiwan's workforce haven't really seen much in the way of dividends from the supposedly fast economic growth. If anything, it has only increased inequality and driven up already expensive real estate prices in Taiwan.
