If I'm understanding this correctly, this is a firearm tracker and round counter. It tracks the location of the firearm and also counts the rounds the firearm has fired. The data can then be downloaded to monitor the firearm's life remaining.

The US was looking at a similar technology. The problem with the tracking aspect is you might not be the only one tracking that RFID. As to the Round count it’s obviously not for Aliens/FPS style round counts as there is no display. It’s for the Armory who when they get the weapon back can track the shooting of the weapon and use it to keep a log and upkeep. It makes it easier to tell when to send it back for rebuilding.

This really seems to confirm the idea, that at least in exercises, China will focus on "medium priority" troops to use their qjb-95 stockpiles as their squad machine gun. "Low priority" troops are still rocking qbz-95's. "Medium priority" have all use qbz-191, but with medium barrel and no attachments (except the propaganda video of the 70th anniversary of the airborne troops, where a few special forces where seen with qbz-192 and qbz-191 with qmk-152. Bike soldiers had plain qbz-192), and use qjb-95 for the soldiers in support fire role.

I still don't fully know if the qbu-191 is intended to be used as an automatic rifle, or was already used that way. We only saw the qjb-201 briefly in an beach landing simulation, and with "high priority" troops of paratroopers in a video where they where used with an scope, alongside the cs/ls07 and qbz-191 with optic, gripod and lights/lasers.

This is the first time (Or at least as far as i know) that we finally see the cs/ls7 in action, albeit briefly.

I don't think so, the QBZ 191 is still being sent to troops. It will still be a while before all the troops that will be getting the new gun actually get it. I believe all front-line troops will be replaced with the qbz 191 and the rear echelons will be getting the 95-1. As for the SMG, we have some posts here showing earlier this year they were already in use with the troops.
