I have a question for the more knowledgeable members here. How does the knew aiming sight (that looks like a red dot sight) differ from earlier mortar sights and what advantages does it bring?

Oh that's interesting.

I don't know if there are any specific differences with regards to the different calibres, but the optical sight for a 82mm mortar was quite similar to a optical sight on a rifle, you line up the reticle to the aiming point. People might want to kill me for saying this, but you can get an idea of the advantage playing Call of Duty (Red dot vs. other optical sight)
