I have never seen PLA troops using 03’s with rails before. Looks like the PLA is emphasizing more on the quality and lethality of the individual infantryman’s equipment.
Type 03 has a very limited production run to begin with. Consider its intent as backup for QBZ-95, that is understood and pretty much sealed when QBZ-95-1 came to be in the previous decade. Nevertheless, existing Type 03 has considerable shelve life left so do expect some sort of mid-life-upgrade for them and in the hands of lower tier outfits.

QBZ95-1B in Djibouti PLA base.
A new micro-prism very similar to the new Primary Arms SLX. I’m guessing the PLA didn’t like the silly 1 MOA adjustment per click design choice either. As otherwise it’s a superb piece of kit. I am waiting for a 1/2 MOA version before I buy one, but might see if I can find out what brand and make this one is instead.

Sino-Mini gun. This is a better version of a previously shared image.

Shame the optics used is totally unsuitable for this role and thus useless. There is no way that scope has enough eye relief to be used positioned that far forwards, and even if it did, the eyebox would be tiny and no way you could keep to it in a helicopter.

If it's gatling then it's better to go for the classic "walk the tracer", or one of those wide-angle holosight which they already have, at least those that seen on export models.
