The video adds nothing new, nor is that channel of particularly high quality, to put it charitably. It may not be your intention to score cheap reaction by sharing social media slop, but the end result is the same, and it lowers the quality of this forum and attract the wrong audience.

Why should any adult with a modicum of maturity care? I suspect you're far better suited for Reddit than Sino Defence, so please give Reddit a try. I suspect it will make many people here very happy.

I guess adults care about the strategic and psychological impact of military strength (especially in 85 year long peace time since the last great power war).

we don't have frequent wars anymore, so the main function of the military is the publicity to act as a deterrent. Military force is politics and all politics has psychological and propaganda aspects to it. Ofcourse, I don't expect non-adults who post nothing but photos to understand these things.

Caring about how other platforms and communities "react" to PLA developments is a waste of time for our purposes.

Let me make it clear -- if the purpose of posting links to other videos or articles is only meant to point and laugh at them or to gawk at how stupid they are being or how "up to date" they are, that is not welcome here.
We are here to share developments and exchange ideas. If a video or article doesn't introduce anything new, and if you know that posting a video or article or link will just lead to people starting a discussion about the content creator or the comment section's competency at PLA watching (inclusive of ignorance, "cope" or whatever), then such content will be deleted because the threads then do not become about the topic matter but rather about the degree of stupidity/competency of whatever link has been posted.

If you want to judge the competency of a content creator or comment section of an article, go somewhere else for that.

OTOH, if a video or an article has actual information or developments or imagery or holds the basis for constructive discussion related to a thread topic itself, that is fine.

Cappy's video doesn't offer any insight, but he has indeed changed his tone since going independent. I think it's an interesting example of how YT content creators operate. He was the front man for Task and Purpose, but his content was dictated by T&P and not his own. Binkov recently revealed that the narrator is just a voice actor with an Eastern European accent as well, so who knows what organization is actually behind its content?

Like I said, his T&P content was fed by T&P, they're not his own. Kind of like how Binkov's narrator is just a voice actor, and the content is actually generated by the organization behind it. That's why I thought it was interesting to hear what his own thoughts were. Not for the insights of lack thereof he can offer, but how different they may be from T&P.

yes but this has nothing to do with actual new information on chinese mbt's. it's best to stop trying to deflect this into some semblance of topicality because there simply is none.

frankly i dont see any case in which youtube can ever produce valuable contributions to this sort of forum. youtubing is a profession, and it makes zero business sense to do themselves what they can already obtain for free.

youtube gets its substance from china watchers, not the other way around.
