Fortunately, more and more units are no longer taking this seriously.
Many units are still using outdated rifle lockers, which cannot accommodate QBZ191 rifles equipped with scopes. As a result, rifles and scopes must be stored separately.....Why? They'd most likely have to re-zero them every time they remount them.
These things are pretty fancy. Not only can they be operated remotely but their shape, especially when viewed aerially, are so close to the real thing that they are used to train AI on the autonomous kamikaze drones/loitering munitions.
