What are your opinions on the conclusions in this video that Chinese tanks are extremely vulnerable to side and lower glacis armor penetration?

Has some merit. AFAIK we never saw Chinese tanks with beefy side armor modules. But this doesn't mean they don't exist. Modern tanks are significantly more modular than most people imagine them to be. I don't think any civilian can make clear-cut judgements about this without being an internet know-it-all.

Please don't post so-called analyses from Youtube content creators. Sinodefence isn't Reddit.
His channel is pretty solid. Perhaps you would care to answer the question: are Chinese tanks particularly vulnerable to penetration from side attacks due to lack of any observable armour modules on the sides?

I'm surprised China would post inside photos of their command centres to the public, while there's nothing particularly classified about those photos, it also offers no advantages to show your opponents the layout of your command centres, it can probably be used to create a model of Chinese operational command from the room layout.

Almost all tanks have the same problem. Their hulls are all vulnerable to auto cannon fire (20+ mm) from the side to a large extent. The lower front plate is also butter usually, with rare exceptions like the M1 et al.. Armor placement usually follows established armor threat distribution schemes.

Almost all current in-service (not up-armored concepts being flogged at Eurosatory or those specifically modified for urban combat) are vulnerable to side attacks. In fact, I can't think of a mainstream MBT (designed for open field operations) that is not more vulnerable from the sides. That's nothing unusual. It's been part of the design tradeoffs since time immemorial. I don't have time to give a History 101 on how that came about, but the information is widely available online, and it really is all common sense.

P.S. His channel is not solid because he gets no credit for being a

Anti-tank "off-route" mines. These can be used to setup for ambush. A laser or infrared sensor is mounted on the tube, and when a vehicle crosses the line of sight, the mine is launched through the 120mm tube into the side armor of the vehicle. I guess it's similar to an IED in some ways.

I was wondering how they mount the mine in the launch tube, apparently it's like this:

No higher resolution that I can find unfortunately, looks like screenshot from an older vid.

Most command operations centers look similar due to similar organizational requirements and equipment, if you look at Cold War era command stations they too look similar to each other even from different and opposing nations. It's also how Ken Adam was able to determine and thus design the shape of the US military War Room in Dr. Strangelove.
