i think it's just something that he had originally, but after bombs blowing up around him, it got covered up, so he didn't see it until the last moment. then he just pulled it out of the corpses and blown up junk.

it's so unreal......the cap is a peak cap, we don't have peak cap back to 70s.
as for me, i have 3 originally made 1964 "liberation cap". the only thing special about it is they are all "special" size, as there are not very many of them. i have a large head, 60cm. others liberation caps can't fit. if any of you want to get liberation caps, don't buy them in the "military museum" of beijing, one costs 55 RMB is a rip off, BIG rip off. normally they would give you for free in some military store when you buy other stuff....mine costs 15 bucks each, since it's very speciall and good quality....
just you want to know......i got bored, sorry....
