Well, now that's a surprise! I heard about US soldiers picking up AK-47's and using them in Iraq, but this is the first time I am hearing about US soldiers working the good old SVD. It's reliable, packs a deadly punch, and it seems the US soldiers really like the scope. What's your guys take on it?

My question is what's the US counterpart equipment? Pls provide info and photos if you have one.

Direct US counterpart would be M21 rifle based on M14 assault rifle.

Interesting. I knew that U.S. Army armored units were issuing Kalashnikovs to dismounted patrols, but this is the first I've heard of using Draganovs.
