Re: Chinese Daily Photos, Videos & News of 2013!!!

A Chinese proverb says "投鼠忌器" (web translate: spare the rat to save the dishes), oop, do you read Chinese? If I use stick or anything else to beat the mice, I'm afraid of accidentally smashing other things, so hands are best for catching mice. They are so small and so fast, you really can't guarantee you'll hit your target with stick without smashing other things in the house. Anyway, I'd never got bitten by a mice. I know how to catch them safe.

May I ask... how much does it cost a Glock hand gun, a M-4 rifle and their ammo...? Do you need to apply any license before buying fire arm?

This is a MR556A1 which is the civilian version of HK416 that is semi auto and different barrell length. You can get this baby for about $2500 but they are getting harder to find in the used market. As for the need for license it all depends on where you live. Some states are different than others. Whether it's a handgun or a long gun usually a background check is require but a lot of times you can buy a shotgun and walk out the same day. Unless you get it at a gun show and some dealers may not care but the government is cracking down on them.

You can also buy machine guns depending on what state you live in. As long as it's made before 1986 but they are VERY expensive! because of their limited numbers. A fully automatic MP5 can go for over $10K!! yikes!!!

Don't know the cost. But a permit is needed to purchase a weapon that would include a background check.

Right, in Illinois you are required to have an FOID card, which you obtain by application from the Illinois State Police, "watch the Blues Bros.", in my constitutional scholar mode, it is an unneccesary and unconstitutional breach of the 2nd amendment, but I do respect the rule of law, and I do abide by the law, I do have a very nice AR, with a slick stainless barrel and a scope, it seems to want to shoot, but I have an old Redfield 4X on it, and the ocular lense will not sharpen up for my old eyes, so I have to use my reading glasses, very strange sight indeed, newer scopes are fine???? anyway, with a good 69 grainBTHP it should group into an inch or less at 100yds, but I have been shooting some 55 grain PMCs, which do good, but it has a 1 in 8 twist, which favors a heavier bullet, I also shot my Springfield Armory 1911 off my truck hood at 75 yds Saturday at a 2' x 3' cardboard target, I mostly punch paper, lots of fun, but it does require concentration just to stay on the cardboard.

I deplore all the gun violence, and it seems that most of that is occurring due to mental illness, or drug and gang violence, as bd stated a back-ground check is required, it seems sadly that the world has become a more violent place. Most law abiding gun owners, who have obtained their weapons through legitimate means, are NOT a part of that problem.... brat

Nice HK kwai, what is backing up your EOtech?? my RR is basically a coyote gun, I had a National Match before, but it weighed nearly 12 lbs, I had a Springfield Armory M1A1 National Match in .308, now that was a heavy rifle, not to handy for the farm. brat

I love guns but believe it or not I actually prefer other means if I'm ever in fear of my life. Rifles are TERRIBLE weapons for home protection! they shot through walls!
Bear spray is the BEST!

I'd like to get that Rueger PC9 9mm carbine to go with my Rueger 9mm handgun.
