In a report, it has been revealed that Kia Lucky Motors is gearing up to introduce a couple of new SUVs to the Pakistani Market, based on the recent success of the Kia Sportage in the country.

Although no official figures have been revealed, the reports suggest that Kia has been selling quite a few units over the past few months, at an average of about 1200 vehicles per month, most of whom are the Kia Sportage SUVs.

Furthermore, it has been reported that the company had been facing lag in terms of the delivery time of the vehicles due to the overwhelming demand, following which, the company has also decided to move to a double-shift production schedule to meet the exceeding demand.

Reportedly, the ‘per day’ production capacity of Kia Lucky is 60 to 65 vehicles per day, which almost similar to that of the Toyota Indus Motor Company, whose daily production capacity is around 76 cars per day. However, the company is planning to ramp up those figures, with a goal of developing a production capacity of 20,000 to 25,000 vehicles per year within the next year and a half.
