I've written about this earlier, in a simple post, but perhaps it warrants a thread of its own.
Right now the subsections of the forum are labeled as air force, navy, army etc.
But the threads inside those do not consistently conform to such labels.
There are threads in those which are about systems/topics that are not part of the respective branch. For example most helicopter threads would be better suited to go under army, as army is the main user.
The other way to go about it would be labeling main sections by domain function:
Aircraft and air ordnance, ships and submarines, ground force assets
Then the helicopter threads could stay where they are. But even then some topics would still be in the wrong place. For example if j15 topic, currently under navy section, stayed in the newly named ships and submarines section.
