Ordinary PLA infantrymen

Some considerably more boring home video of ordinary PLA soldiers about their 2 year post there. Both seems to in a more 2nd line type of units, and more consistent with the ordinary part. (Warning: both videos are infused lots of background music, and tudou has put ads just before the video starts)

First is soldiers from a Artillery regiment (unit#73075), it does contain some cool exercise scenes in the second half of the video. It seems PLA Artillery troops still lacks proper ear protection...

The second one a soldier in a recon company attached to what looks like to be motorized infantry. There far less exercise scenes, but it does looks they participated in either a movie or a tv series as extras.

The videos are quite, and the only conclusion I can draw is that life in peace time military is incredibly boring.

yup, the military has a strange way of taking the fun out of supposedly fun things. all those gears that you become so fascinated as a recruit, you'd puke just seeing them after a couple of months

1980's 6 Yuan a month.

Now, 1000 Yuan a month, plus many sign-up benefits.

That is still so little. I believe it is basically almost the same as what an average factory operator or worker is making per month plus you get to train your ass out... wouldn't it be better to be just an average factory worker (semi-skill or even unskilled, since you get around the same amount of money per month)

And if the infantry man is actually located in big cities like Shanghai or Beijing, their salary will certainly not be enough as living standard is increduleous.
