This is elementary stuff (in the context of PLA / mil watching).

For a destroyer, 18-24MW is not a hotel load. That is a combat load.

And if it is IEPS, there should be a lot more electricity available.

There is propulsion, and then there is hotel load — which includes things like radar and combat systems in addition crew utilities and comfort services.

Even if somehow you want to create your own category of “combat load”, alongside hotel load and propulsion, in your first reply to ACuriousPLAFan you were clearly comparing AB propulsion power to the output of 3x AG9160 / AG9140 (i.e. what ACuriousPLAFan said). So there are no avenues for back-pedalling here.

How you can be a member of SDF for 11 years and not understand this simple stuff is bewildering to me (but not when you remember your incessant poorly-informed comments across so many threads). Imagine the wasted pages due to the nonsense comments this thread will have, because you refuse to learn the basics, but at the same time love to comment, posit, and speculate so much — instead of reading, learning, and understanding first.
