No.
Chassis are based on T-62, only one wheel longer, tracks are pre-1972 too, Mr. Bermudez has made a mistake in his drawing which depicts post-1972 tracks. Hull glacis is T-62. The only T-72 part I see is engine compartment which means it has V-46, V-84, V-92 or V-99 engine. The letter too have differences in compartment appearance, but it is impossible to see those differences from angles on the pictures provided. Given that they use tracks long phased out in Russia this tank is unlikely to have 1997 engine, so I assume it has V-84 and it's 840HP at best. Though there is a little chance that engine was overcharged locally.
Turret is not from T-62, it is indigenously developed welded design with composite armour, with 570-680mm physical thickness.
It's day sight is still based on T-62 one.

JDW claim that her engine and FCS come from slovakia.notice her FCS is identical to Czech Kladivo FCS.
any data about Kladivo FCS?

I think that article is dated 08.
This was especially awkward considering yesterday's news about UN agreement on tightening sanctions against Iran.
Uhm, how is this relevant to the Type 98/99?
It isnt. This whole Pokpoong discussion (including this very post) should be either moved to World Armed Forces section or deleted.

Slovakian V-46 versions have power of 850HP, which isn't much different from my guess. Kladivo doesn't have any characteristic external recognition points, so it is rather impossible to "notice". But this could be true - rangefinder and weather sensor are the only two extra components required, and M2002 has both. Besides, Kladivo is native to T-55M which shares fire control with T-62M. I do not have any specific data on Kladivo, generally it is quite hard to find FCS specifics. I would rate it somewhat between T-72B and T-80U ones, but this is a pure assumption.

Also, I am sure this tank does NOT have an autoloader. Explanation is simple. Take a look at those two pictures:

The only possible explanation is that both commander and gunner have their stations left to the gun, just as in T-62. But there's somebody under the right-sided hatch too, he has to operate this machinegun anyway. Can't be anyone but loader.

speaking of FCS,according to DIIC, China in the early 90's approached marconi elliot for technical assisstant in the development digital FCS.
it possible the performance is near similarity to challenger-1.
