It's only the results from an experimental round. The actual round used is much, much heavier (over 9kg in projectile weight) and correspondingly the muzzle velocity is a lot lower, probably within the 1500-1550m/s range.Greetings, friends. A Chinese friend of mine told me that the penetration there can or does reach around 700 mm. I don’t know how accurate his data or beliefs are!
Data is still highly classified, all current understanding of the round is based on fragments of spent rounds in firing ranges. I somehow doubt that the ZTZ100 ammo is compatible with the L7, the lack of an ejection port and a fume extractor suggests that this is not an L7, so I wouldn't try comparing it to other L7s.Greetings, friends.
