That's a huge sail lol for anyone that's still trying to cope with sailless or small sailed claims.
why do you use the phrase cope?

Let's say the sail to rest of hull is relatively proportional to say 09IIIB, why would it be "cope"?

We still need to try to figure out what they are trying to do with this class that's different than the 09V. We still need to try to figure out why we have something that's 10% longer and maybe slightly wider than 09V.

You'd be surprised how many people (and even some big names for some reason) are vehemently calling any claims that this submarine has a sail "lies" or "AI" before transitioning to " very small streamlined sail" cope despite all evidence points to it having a classic sail in both size and shape probably in the hope that their dreams of a "ultra advanced submarine" that leaves the USN in the dust being real.

I'm simply just commenting on the sail of the submarine, not about the purpose of this submarine but I still caution on trying to draw a conclusion that is too outlandish and unrealistic (cough cough "super advanced submarine" that "leads all competitors significantly") especially when the main distinguishing feature of the submarine that many theories was based on has proven to be completely false.

Allegedly related to the 041 at Jiangnan. Not sure what "YHL" is

YHL stands for loop one likely for a two loop nuclear reactor given there are also tenders for a EHL which is loop two. No SHL or loop 3 tenders found meaning the design seems to be inconsistent with the original PPT that called for a three loop reactor so this might be for a ice breaker
A couple of posts from the 041 thread that now need re-interpreting in light of 09X. If the tender documents are indeed for 09X then it seems more boats will follow.

Is the 09X really the 041? I thought 041 was going to be significantly smaller with a small nuclear reactor. This is a full sized boat, roughly on the scale of a 093B. Does that mean they've just scrapped the idea of using small nuclear reactors?

@Tomboy pointed out a while ago that those tenders that were thought to be for the supposed 041 SSK-N all this time were actually likely for this 09X, but no one of course knew of such a submarine until its launch was revealed by Sutton/NavalNews about a month ago.

So what should we infer from this, that what was thought to be several 041 SSK-N being built (3 of them?) are actually 09X?
No, just that some of the rumours and news we thought were related to 041 were probably really related on 09X.

The suggestion was that JN would build 041s alongside Wuchang but in fact it seems JN will build 09X instead - or as well, but we're not sure of the status of the 041 program right now.
