Well ... I'm really not sure if this is official of based on just a public social media group?!
The first link is from the US Army Worldwide Equipment Guide although it can have questionable accuracy. The first provided

for the pl-15 is a CGI of a Meteor launching from not a j20.

The 2nd link was when I put "J-20 Fagin" into the search engine and found the forum post from 2022. I thought it was relevant because the Worldwide Equipment Guide changed recently (judging from when Wikipedia was edited to include Fagin as the J-20's reporting name).

Thanks, but my impression is, this is just a Fantasie site collecting any random information and hyping it up, but overall it’s just laughable even more so since some rate it official

I have it on good authority that the specific name is indeed the actual NATO reporting name.

Of course, I think NATO reporting names are irrelevant for us, but if it's a question about authenticity, it is indeed real.

May I ask, why you think it is indeed an official ASCC/NATO name? By my understanding this site is more a fan site especially when you look at the other data ... at least NOTHING (that I am aware of) hints towards NATO or an official NATO-related organisation.

It's not what I think, it is what is being stated by people who know it, who have confirmed the name after this particular information was conveyed to us in the last week or two.
Essentially, people who work in the business (active US military, or in US MIC, or others in the DoD/intelligence space) have confirmed it.

As if just anyone could have a DNS in the .MIL domain. .MIL is reserved for US DoD.
That is a US Army website.

It looks like a database used for wargaming. So it might not be 100% accurate.

It is accurate, just accept it.

The document itself is irrelevant, rather it just happens to finally released the name which has been in use for years, and multiple people with knowledge about it have confirmed it is the name, but they haven't been able to confirm it unless it was out in the public first.
