Really want to watch this. Too bad impossible to find in NA.
It got some seriously bad reviews. People said that it was a 3 hour movie that took 2.5 hours to get to the battlefield and that they overdid the heroics (which I imagine means it's too close the the Rambo crap where 1 American with the muscles of a racehorse shot 400 Vietnamese to death with a near 100% accuracy rate while running at them bare-chested and then somehow all the Viet girls just love him for killing their family and friends).

I was really psyched to see it too and I still wanna see it but my expectations are temped down now.

I wouldn't put too much stock in these reviews, seems like all the war movies get criticized a lot, from 800 to 金刚川. Seems like those critics think they're watching a war documentary.

Full movie here though not so clear. Look like a pirate take from cinema. Watch it if you like before it might be taken down.

I don't know why the reviewers were crapping on the movie, it totally rocked. Sure it took them 2 hours to get to the reservoir, but they were fighting for 30 minutes straight in the middle, so not boring at all.

Not a fan of the Mao Anying side story, since it distracts from the point of the story.

OK just saw it, and I'm with you. I don't get the poor reviews at all. I was particularly impressed by the fact that 1. I could tell who the key people were without intros, meaning they picked actors who looked like the historical figures, and 2. that they included so many historically accurate quotes.

What a piece of garbage MacArthur was, talking about being back for Christmas/Thanksgiving as if soldiers need to merrily celebrate holiday festivities after going on a murder spree in a foreign country. Absolutely no regard for Korean life.

I just finished watching Squid Game on Netflix. Congrats to the South Koreans for making something I don't think even Hollywood would've dared to do. It was an emotional roller coaster and had a twist ending.
Agreed. The film parasite was great too. Better stuff coming out of South Korea than anything in Hollywood these days.
