This thing came and went so fast I didn't even hear about it until recently. It's interesting that someone from Hong Kong started the stink over accusations of Chinese racism because of how John Boyega was depicted smaller than the rest of the cast in the Star Wars Force Awakens poster and this "controversial" Black Panther poster was made for the Hong Kong market and not Mainland China. BTW advertising in China shows the same poster they show in the US. I love how this is spun as racism in the first place. John Boyega in Last Jedi was essential demoted to being an extra and they stifled the Finn and Rey romance anticipation and yet not seen as racism. Don't believe Russia is behind this because that's what both the right and left are trying to cover-up and blame for all the divisive politics in America. This kind of tactic has been going on a long time in the US.

Finally got around to seeing "Goodbye Christopher Robin" and it did not disappoint. Very poignant and relevant biography about the creation of the "Winnie the Pooh" books, some knowledge of the historical context is helpful. Not a children's movie but may be appropriate family viewing with teens or tweens. Highly recommended.

Anyone here collects blu-rays or any other physical media? I have recently only rented or purchased movies from googles playstore, and it seems most do the same as I unsuccessfully tried to sell my movies away (asked 40€ for 100 movies), so I ended up giving them away, but even that was difficult because red cross said they'll be hard to sell... almost didn't take them.

Now I have only 20 special edition steel-book blu-rays and Star Trek series on discs.

I used to collect BDs. I have a huge collection (>350 BDs the last time I counted). However, I stopped collecting them a couple years ago. I now buy HD movies from Amazon Prime. With the digital format, I can watch any of my movies any time, anywhere and on any device I want.

I still don’t know what to do with my BD collection though. Any time I want to sell them, I would just stand in front of my collection and stare at my movies for a while, but can never bare to part with any of them...

I never heard of the person or the character he created until now.

I'm still old-school. I'd rather buy a physical form than digital. Digital is nice for back-up. Everything is driving towards something where you'll have to pay subscription fees because that's the new business model.

Well, I went through the same “denial phase” a couple years ago when I was contemplating whether to go with the digital format. Buy a few movies and get a feel of it. Once you get comfortable with it, you will never go back.

Of course, like any tech stuff, equipment is the key. You want to make sure that you have all the necessary devices, like smart TV and HDMI-equipped stereo systems, and the associated Apps and etc. This will allow you to enjoy the movies in the highest possible quality at at least 1080P visual and digital DTS/Dolby surround sound. Simply watching a movie on a laptop or an iPad is just not going to cut it.
