Amen to that. He was a very skilled actor.

I personally believe that some of his best acting was in Robin Hood...but he did a LOT of GREAT acting after that too.

I believe you're talking about Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves or the one with Kenvin Cosntner, if that is true I agree completely, and probably Kenving Costners best movie as well, just a great chemistry, and lots of suspense love and trauma, in a very watchable and helpful little movie.

Yes, exactly, with Kevin Costner and Prince of Thieves. I was not aware that he had played in any other Robin Hood film.,...but I could be wrong on that.

That one is probably my favorite all time Robin Hood movie.

, Deadpool, which was produced by 20th Century Fox and based on the Marvel comic book character, has been denied permission to screen in China due to its violence, nudity and graphic language.

A source close to the decision at China Film Group tells THR that the reports are indeed accurate.

Directed by Tim Miller and starring Ryan Reynolds as the most foul-mouthed and self-aware superhero — or, anti-hero — in the Marvel catalog, Deadpool hits theaters stateside on Feb. 12.

China's censorship authorities often work with the Hollywood studios to create cleaned-up special cuts of R-rated movies, but sources close to the Deadpool decision say it wasn't possible to excise the offending material without causing plot problems.

China has no ratings system, so the country's media regulator, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT), makes an up-down judgment on all film imports, approving or banning them for consumption by Chinese viewers of all ages.

Despite the film's more adult tone and content, many observers had predicted that Deadpool would find a way into the China market, thanks to the Marvel imprimatur.

Movies based on Marvel comic books have done huge business in China, which is now the world's second-largest theatrical market. Avengers: Age of Ultron grossed $240 million last summer, while more offbeat titles like Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man grossed $96.4 million and $105.4 million, respectively.

Deadpool co-stars T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin and Brianna Hildebrand. It tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson (Reynolds), who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool.

20th Century Fox declined to comment.
Somehow I kinda Felt this was coming. Remember DP is pretty much a total Arse, and his comic is material that jumps from Teletubbies to Rated X porn. The producers and Directors being loyal to the material had said they were looking to a Hard R rating seems that R was very Hard a little to Hard for the PRC.

Fortunately for 20th Century Fox, I have been told by an Alien at the Holiday Inn in Paramus that the World will end on February 14, 2016..

Definitely not a movie to bring kids to or even the wife LOL.
I like to see the director's cut of DP when it comes out later. Some movies 'have' to be made as hard R otherwise it deliniates from canon or even the character or just don't make them at all.

I was dissappointed when Expendables went from R to PG 13. Some movies are made for grown men to watch. I understand it limits the audience pool but it also limits the potential of such films.

I watched two movies on Netflix today and I would recommend them to anyone on SD.

They were both non-Hollywood, non-English movies, with English subtitles.

The first was the Golden Cane Warrior. It is an Indonesian movie and it is great! About the martial arts warrior ethos probably set in the Middle Ages in the far East. Just a plain old good story. About two hours long,

The second is called, Northern Limit Line. It is a South Korean movie and it shows, about as well as anything I have watched, the modern gun boat life in a modern Navy. It is the true story about the 2002 clash between North and South Korea in the Yellow Sea and the loss of south Korean gunboat PKM 357. Great look at life in the South Korean Navy for the personnel manning such a vessel, and a very good and hard look at what life and combat on such a vessel is like. Again, highly recommended for any naval enthusiast. Also about two hours long.

Both are on Netflix.

Have fun!

I have just got off the phone to my friend and had my suspicions confirmed.
Neither of those two films you recommended are available on Netflicks NZ. I think those online streaming sites are zonal.WE cant even any Amazon Prime Movies because of this zonal policy.
W have a Netflicks for the pacific region but what choices on offer is embarrassing when compared with what's offered on the US site. I really don't understand why they continue with this "zone" thing.

Has anyone seen the "Hateful Eight"

I love how if Hollywood is catering to Chinese racism, then why are all their movies filled with white actors, hence the controversy, and not Chinese actors? I believe every movie nominated in a major Oscar category was never shown or expected to be shown in China. Wouldn't they have been shown in China if everyone was white in these movies which are supposedly aimed at Chinese audiences first as Maher is arguing? Like people in China know who Kevin Hart is so it has to be racism that they don't know therefore don't get his uniquely American humor in China?

I was reading a LA Times article on how China's electric car revolution went from bust to boom in a few short years. Apparent those in Beijing didn't understand before the concept of incentives for producers and buyers of electric vehicles which is what they learned from California. Here's something Beijing should also be learning which is "you reap what you sow!" If Hollywood is blaming China for its own racism, then China should ban all Hollywood movies from being shown in China so then Hollywood can stop being racist. Force Awakens failed in China and fans were angry that China didn't help Force Awakens beat Avatar in total box office. Well maybe then they shouldn't have so eagerly agreed that the Force Awakens poster the Disney marketing department made for China was accused to be a result of Chinese racism because John Boyega's Finn was shrunk down in that poster. Beijing commented on it meaning the Chinese public might've heard about the accusation therefore might have been turned them off from watching it. How would Americans react if some foreign movie soon to be opening in the US out of nowhere accused Americans of being racist. They wouldn't go watch that movie. And in the name of stopping Hollywood from being racist, China should stop allowing any Hollywood movie from being shown in China until Hollywood cleans up its act. China will be one of those electric third rails in Hollywood where no one can touch it in the wrong way or else whoever breaks it will be banned in Hollywood forever. China has nothing to lose. The accusers want China to be concerned about African-American issues so therefore China should be dictating more black actors in Hollywood movies or else...

It's so pathetic and laughable that some Hollywood elitist think they can dictate China, or anyone else by soft power bullying their ways. As a result it ruins the public experience for the movies.
