Probably not any more rude than some of the things Tom and Jerry did to each other. And "we" came out fine for the most part, right? :p .

I understand what you're saying but no.. it's a different character arc altogether and more complex.. the T and J ones or most cartoons from the 70s and 80s were stupid silly and yes were also hyper violent if you think about it however SB is much different. It's more subtle and more 'dark' and I can see young kids emulating some of his bad behavior.

It's one thing to see a mouse dropping an anvil on a cat's tail but another to see a character mocking someone's misfortune, rebelling against authority or bad mouthing another.

Anyway this is just my own opinion.. I'm not trying to tell anyone what they can or cannot let their kids watch.. obviously. As a friend and parent I just wanted Jeff to be aware in case he isn't familiar with the SB character is all.

Depending on their ages probably not advisable my friend. IMHO the SB charatcter arc is actually a terrible influence on kids mainly due to his very odd and oftentimes plain old mean and rude behavior.

Thanks, kwaig. I am not familiar with the character or the nuances.

Just presumed it was a fun, animated movie.

Now I will check it out thoroughly before taking the young kids to it.
