China reports its first monkeypox case, an imported one.
A 29yo salesman of Chinese nationality had a trip to Germany from Sept 2 to Sept 8. He had sex with another man (presumbly a local) in Germany on the day he arrived. He then travelled to Spain and returned home on Sept 14.
He started showing symptoms on Sept 9, including red rashes, blisters, dry and itch throat and fever. On Sept 14, the day he returned home, he was diagnosed for monkeypox infection when he was in Covid quarantine facility in Chongqing.

经过检测，上述病例中的猴痘病毒 (China-CQ202209)属于西非系B.1支，与6月21日采集的德国病毒高度同源。这些结果确认了该病例是中国大陆首例输入性猴痘病例。
重庆报告输入性猴痘病例后，中国疾控中心流行病学首席专家吴尊友发文指出，新冠疫情防控的“外防输入”措施，为防止猴痘疫情输入，发挥了重要的保护屏障作用。这次重庆报告猴痘病例就是在新冠防控入境“7+3”隔离过程中发现的。
