Those aren't mobs... they've killed two policemen and two hostages. If those aren't terrorists I don't know what qualifies as terrorists.

Yeah, I don't know why they're called "mobs" or "rioters". Mis-translation from Chinese, perhaps? Those are clearly terrorists.

Mobs are not that organized. Are these possibly "outside agitators"???..trying to drum up trouble like two years ago??

I am not quite sure about that. Terrorist is someone who targets civilians. When someone target government organs, it's something else.

No, government workers, including Law Enforcement, are very much civilians.

Most government organs contain mostly civilians. Also, would you not call the Cole bombing or the Beirut bombing acts of terrorism?

Dude. Going by your definition the Sept. 11 attack on the Pentagon is not a terrorist attack and neither is the attack on U.S.S. Cole.

Same thoughts as I read the title of this thread. This one SHAN'T garner any "sympathy" from the international community because clearly there's nothing to sympathize about when they take hostages. And I don't think mobs take hostages. That already is not your usual ways of day-to-day protests.

Yes, it's a mistranslation. The Chinese report says, literally "a group of religious extremists carrying jihadist slogans, swords, axes, molotov cocktails among other weapons." I think they translated the words 一群, which means a group or a bunch of something into mob.
