PAD (prithvi Air Defence) is a high altitude Ballistic Missile interceptor designed and developed by the DRDO under Ministry of Defence, India. On 6th March the interceptor destroyed a ballistic missile at an altitude of 75 km. India became the third nation to develop a BMD with capability to destory them out side earth's atmosphere.
