Boom, for China's cross border deals RMB have officially now overtaken the dollar at 48% to 47%.
In a way, that means USG rentier income has been effectively halved or close to that amount since the PRC commenced diversifying and trading in Yuan. Small wonder there's so much chaos in america now- they can't export inflation and will need to print more money for all the anti- China bills they have in Congress.

There is so much chaos because they have literal lunatics in charge. RMB has little to nothing to do with that.

Majority of the US nuclear arsenal are based from ballistic missile submarines and strategic bombers, not land-based missile silos.

Besides, ballistic missiles travel at speeds between Mach 15-20 or more, which is basically the fastest man-made object can reasonably travel with current technology. They won't need hours to reach China from CONUS - one hour is more than enough.

Then there's the Ohio and Columbia-class ballistic missile submarines, which can sail pretty much anywhere around the world's oceans. If those subs launch their SLBMs from the Arctic Ocean, Indian Ocean and/or the WestPac, China will have even less time to respond.

Plus there's the B-52, B-1, B-2, B-21 strategic bombers, which can appear pretty much from anywhere and at anytime. How are you going to know if those bombers carry bombs and/or missiles that have conventional or nuclear warheads?

Lol no. The US has a multitude of space, land, air and sea-based early warning systems with pretty much full and constant coverage of the entire globe. Those systems (especially space-based ones) can detect ballistic missile launches as soon as the missiles leave the ground. How are you going to hide that?

Then, how many countries in the world has ballistic missiles? And out of those countries, how many of them have FOBS capabilities? There is no way to hide the identity of the launcher once the details of said missile has been established.

FOBS can only be used to increase unpredictability and reduce enemy's response readiness, not to disguise the launcher's identity and location.
You've written nothing I haven't also. Until China has some next gen missile defense, its just not possible to avoid MAD. Nuclear attack would only happen as an act of desperation to ensure the enemy is destroyed, even at great or total cost to China itself.

Neither US or China's global early warning systems can anticipate a launch from something resting in orbit right above the country. But once the missile hits, like I said, at the start there might be confusion, but it is just a question of time (hours, days) until the culprit can be deduced and MAD starts.

What I said is just that if nuclear ww3 becomes inevitable, its likely that China would use all its cards spent on concealing and individual missile quality to go for a first strike, because there won't be anyone left to complain afterwards anyways.

Note: in 2010, RMB usage for cross border deal was 0%.
Looks like there was a reversal of policies around the time of trade war to increase Yuan usage. Interestingly there isn't a sharp increase following the Ukraine conflict, or perhaps it's too soon to show on the graph.

I believe this is nothing more than a bargain to US/EU. Send us better weapons and more money or we will get closer to China.
Could be, but realize that it was China that actually made the contact after allegedly "ignoring" requests from the Ukrainian side. Perhaps China senses that Western countries no longer have the simple means to prolong the war (deliveries of many things being pushed out to 2024-2025 like NASAMS), so it is the best time to negotiate.

Finally. It's prime time.

New Legislation Proposed By China To Protect Overseas Chinese

Hopefully the law can be passed in the NPC of China ASAP.

May not be effective against Western countries (bar Australia), but could be useful as a warning/deterrence against countries around China that are: 1. Pro-West and anti-China, AND 2. Have histories and/or tendencies of mistreating the Chinese on their home soil.
It's crazy that there are 60 million overseas Chinese.... that's as big as UK, France, Korea, Germany, etc... good news China is passing this!

Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko warned Ukraine they should listen to China and negotiate as soon as possible. The longer they wait the worse the conditions will be that they're offered. This is the cold reality. Ukraine can take a risk and lose more.

Zelenskyy is in a very tough spot. If Ukrainian counteroffensive fails he will be forced to negotiate and give up territory, Crimea plus 4 more regions.

But why would the Russians, after a failed Ukrainian offensive, still be willing to negotiate and miss the chance to take back Odessa? If Ukraine takes heavy losses there is a real possibility that Russia could launch own attack. Against exhausted Ukrainian army they could be able to make some gains.
