I'm looking at young adults for China not at birth because during the 90s to early 00s at birth was skewed as rural areas sometimes didn't report girls until they needed to start working/go to school.
Overall I'm pro immigration as really other countries only failed at it due to racism and too strict hierarchy. And China can afford to be restrictive with citizenship as long as they open up the country more generally.

Putin is preparing for long time. and it will become even bigger threat once Arab wealth shift away from old Europe.
I will say they had practice run during covid when Iran closed the border and Azerbaijan put fines on turkish truckers and alot of Turkish trucks have to reroute through Russia to avoid Iran. That gave certain level of confidence to Russia that it can handle this surge of cargo traffic. but this scale of cargo traffic can impede soldier rotations when they want to visit there cities and villages. only military helicopter aviation in thousands can accomplish this task. when you see the location of dark windows expensive Japanese SUV it gives hint where the activities are expected. Iran need to develop to take advantage of it.
There is always a payback time, true for US and true for anyone who try to emulate US. There is nothing that US does to admire or respect or to learn, it is plain stupid, shallow without history. US is not unique in doing what it did, the Roman and Mongols did the same, look at where they are.

You missed the condition of US ending the war "Russian defeat".
Basically a never-ending war because Russia would never be defeated by Ukraine. US likes never-ending wars, helps make military-industrial complex a lot of money.
