The sizes are misleading due to the Mercator projection.

I remember when I saw this giant Earth globe at my local science centre, it was the first time I realized how big Africa actually was.

OK noted.

Yeah, growing up I thought whole of Europe is just little smaller than African continent. Not until I actually compared the two that I realized how enormous Africa is in comparison

Yep. Really puts into perspective just how overblown most countries are size-wise in the Northern Hemisphere -

Hmmm that's interesting, this resulted after South Korea announcing this a bit over a week ago:

I must say Yoon's government have really went in a different direction than what I was expecting.
Just like how the Joseon Kingdom could not live without Ming Dynasty culture, Korea cannot live without seeseepee money.

Accuracy is pretty bad but tbh the more accurate maps aren’t that great to look at. Not that easy to accurately transfer a 3D sphere onto a 2D plane while trying to make it look presentable.

There is this map which is supposedly a lot more accurate. They don’t have the most presentable look on a 2D plane. A globe would be preferable but who owns a globe anyway.

The Foreign Ministry are the biggest cucks in the Chinese government
Why? They're simply being diplomatic and there's absolutely nothing wrong in my view to attend the state funeral of a country’s head of state, even if that country (U.K.) is creating fissure with respect to China's core issues and other areas.

It would be stupidly petty if China were to act just as petty, foolish, and infantile like how most western countries have acted recently, best exemplified by the woke style politics in the UK. U.S. and elsewhere.

I thought only communist seize control of the means of production, not democratic capitalist nations.

This just standard procedure or protocol. That the UK is acting herp derp about it is their problem it only shows more of the racism behind their masks.

Narendra Modi chides Vladimir Putin over Ukraine war

Indian PM’s ‘concerns’ publicly acknowledged by Russian president at meeting in Uzbekistan
Indian prime minister Narendra Modi has told Russian president Vladimir Putin that “today’s era is not of war”, in some of his most pointed public remarks yet about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

At a meeting between the Indian and Russian leaders in Uzbekistan on Friday, Putin publicly acknowledged New Delhi’s “concerns” about the conflict for the first time — a day after doing the same thing during an encounter with Chinese president Xi Jinping.
“I know today’s era is not of war and we have talked to you many times over the phone on the subject,” Modi told Putin in remarks published by India’s foreign ministry. India’s prime minister added that democracy, diplomacy and dialogue kept the world together.
“I know your position on the conflict in Ukraine, your concerns that you constantly express,” said Putin, according to a Kremlin transcript. “We will do our best to stop this as soon as possible.”

Isn’t this a bit rich from the “architect” of Doklam and Galwan? I suspect Putin is merely being diplomatic here. Or perhaps it’s just simply talk for Western sound bites, in order to give India more cover for raw material purchases from Russia?
