For comparable roles and positions, Mainland salary is probably higher. Cost of living, for example, is much higher in tier-1 cities than in Taipei.

(Bulgaria) wants to resume buying Russian gas​

The Bulgarian government is considering holding talks with energy giant Gazprom on resuming Russian natural gas imports, Energy Minister Rosen Hristov told Nova TV on Friday.

“There are still no active talks with Gazprom… but we have given an indication that we want to start negotiations, or rather to continue them to clarify some controversial terms of the contract. We simply sent information that we were ready to negotiate and asked them to resume contact,” he said, specifying that Sofia expects a response from the Russian supplier on Friday, or Monday next week at the latest.

The minister stressed: “We are only talking about the old contract; we will not re-sign or negotiate a new contract.”

According to Hristov, Sofia is seeking to extend the deadline to supply the remaining volumes of gas under the contract until 2023.

In April, Bulgaria rejected the ruble-for-gas payment method introduced by Russia in response to Western sanctions. Under the new regulation, buyers from countries that imposed restrictions on Moscow are obliged to pay for Russian natural gas in rubles. Sofia’s refusal to accept the new terms prompted Gazprom Export to halt fuel supplies to its Bulgarian partner, Bulgargaz.

Lol. Looks like cracks in their unity is now finally appearing in public. They want to extend their old contract to 2023 but not negotiate a new one which sounds like political word play. If they are bulking now then they will bulk again for a new contract after the old one expires in 2023. Then there is nord stream 2 opens which if it opens means the end of Ukraine.

The trailer for new movie, My Son Hunter has been released showing the 'corrupt' history of scandal of President Biden's son.

My Son Hunter is set for release September 7 – just two months before the 2022 midterm elections.

While there are warnings on the website for My Son Hunter of the outrageous content containing 'sex, prostitution, drugs', there are also nods to the movies' more satirical humor.

Among those alternative warnings were 'cronyism, money laundering, more sex, a Laptop from Hell, Chinese spies, Ukrainian 'Businessmen', the CPP [Chinese Communist Party], the Selling Out of America, the Big Guy, Corn Pop, More Sex, Additional Drugs, and...Family.'

[My Comments]
This is an interesting video. Particularly the final comments like: "I am asking my students that, do you want to fight against one fifth of mankind with nuclear weapons on their home court?".

My takeaway is that some military people in the US start accepting the idea that China is going to be a peer to the US on military terms in the next few years or decades. That is inline with my own assessment that China and US are approaching MAD. But many non-military people in the US either don't know this or simple don't want to know this. But overall I am optimistic that, if US and China don't engage in a direct military conflict in the next 5 years, they will not be in the foreseeable future beyond that.
