I'm not sure if this is a good or a bad thing, but I imagine in a few months or so the US side will accuse Chinese authorities for giving partial or fake audit records lol.

It seems like a small concession from the US to keep some Chinese firms in NY.... maybe with pressure from US institutional investors to ram this agreement through. If more Chinese firms delist in NY and relist in HK, US would have even less control and investigative powers. The five Chinese SOEs delisitng all at once 2 weeks ago scared them. Regardless, Amerikkkunt pirates can't be trusted, Chinese firms need to keep delisting NY and relist in China... US institutional investors can bring their money to HK and Shanghai, if they and NY authorities don't like it...too fucking bad.

The U.S. side must obtain audit working papers and other documents through the Chinese regulatory authority, and conduct inquiries with the relevant personnel of the accounting firm with the participation and assistance of the Chinese side.

Maybe CSRC don't want to tell what concessions they give. Seems CN concessions are major, unfettered access without redactions.
But the real test will be whether the words agreed to on paper translate into complete access in practice.

Or maybe the PCAOB didn't get much but didn't want to lose face and will just complain that china didn't hold to their part of the bargain in the future even though it was never part of the agreement anyways. The US did stuff like that when they were negotiating the phase one trade agreement. People became more trustful of info from the Chinese side regarding the phase one agreement than the American side.

Biden will do anything for a transitory win...

The student loan forgiveness thing is a complete fraud. The root of the problem is overpriced useless education, instead of forcing universities to refund, forgive or even reform and restructure to bring costs down, all this Act did was pass the buck onto the folks who did play by the rules and managed to pay back their loans or who never took out a loan, aka the rest of tax payers are paying for this.. so basically more cost inflation on the horizon completely wiping out the so called Anti inflation act by 3x... truly take one step forwards but 3 steps backwards game is being played.... at this point all the US is doing is reshuffling chairs on the deck of the sinking Titanic

Nah, it's just American politicians doing their jobs lying to Americans pretending they were tough when they got walked all over. Generally, when America and China interact, as long as the US left with their dignity somewhat intact, they will brag all over media about how they put the Chinese in their place, won a resounding victory for the current administration which deserves to be re-elected. Any statement short of that indicates the eagle got sent home with its feathers plucked.

Unfair to people that worked hard, worked 2 jobs to pay off their tuitions. Its their own fault that they majored in a useless degree, and are now 100k in debt. Government shouldn't have to bail you out. Not how life works.

You mean this ~1,700 word long statement from China vs the ~300 word long statement from the US?

If you want to circlejerk yourself in a corner at least compare the statements before commenting on it.

Real question is why do some of these degrees cost so much in the first place if there is little to no ROI.
