Taiwanese will not surrender easily, esp since future generation has no ties to China. Expect lots of urban warfare, tunnel warfare.

Taiwan will surrender easily. Most Taiwanese are not bothered by the PLA because they expect to surrender when AR starts because they expect to be well treated in the aftermath.

In the end, it may not even be worth it.

No Chinese political party will survive giving up Taiwan. There is no such thing as "not worth it".

The woman is looking for political points for "i'm tough on chyna" for her ad campaign. The more I watch these clowns, the more it shows the flaws of "western democrazy" It also doesn't make sense for Tsai to be constantly provocative, but since it gets her a edge of winning or money into her pocket...

Germans warned of toilet paper shortage

The energy crisis could severely affect production, an industry body warns

Germans warned of toilet paper shortage

The crisis on the European gas market could lead to reduced production of toilet paper in Germany, according to Martin Krengel, chairman of the nation’s paper industry association, Die Papierindustrie.

“We are particularly dependent on gas for the production of tissue paper. Without it, we will no longer be able to provide security of supply,” Krengel said in a statement published on Thursday.

According to data provided by Die Papierindustrie, each German citizen uses an average of 134 rolls of toilet paper per year. “In the current energy crisis, our top priority is to provide people with this important commodity,” Krengel stressed.

Last month, the Bavarian Paper Association warned that operating paper plants may become unprofitable if they are forced to work at reduced capacity due to natural gas shortages.

Germany and the EU as a whole have recently seen a significant reduction in natural gas supplies from Russia, leading to numerous warnings of possible industrial shutdowns.

What this stupid bit@h does, it will not make a difference to the collapse of the USA and let’s see if she has the guts to speak like this then. I can guarantee that her life is basically either live in The collapsing west with all the food and energy shortages that is heading there way or be hunted down like a pig for trial should she try to seek refugee in the global south. Either way, China will make this fool pay dearly for mocking China in the coming days

What are you talking about? It will definitely be worth it. Urban warfare? Tunnel warfare? Even then china will still have a massive advantage and overwhelming power. It will always be worth it.
Sacrifices required for AR right now is already not worth it despite PLA having "massive advantage". Mainland is more important than Taiwan. 2030 may or may not be better. Entire region is arming up.

Technology has advanced to a point that one can strike anybody, anywhere, at anytime. If you are out in the open you are dead. "War of the future will be dirty, urban, and underground." Taiwan would be smart to hid a significant portion of its assets underground. Grind it out. Neutralize PLA's "overwhelming fire power". They are already training for that. The war is lost if China has to fight a protracted war.

Never assume your enemy will just surrender (unless you are Russia).

The sacrifices for an AR will be worth it in any scenario. Will the US let the PLA sends thousands of troops to fortified the Mexican border? Ask yourself that and you already know the answer. This is an existential threat and the belief that it will hurt the mainland too much to be worth it is nonsensical.

Do you think Russia should have not invaded Ukraine because it was not worth it despite it being a existential threat from NATO to destroy Russia? Do you think the US won’t react if China or Russia started building huge bases in Canada or Mexico?

The only scearnio where the US is pleased is where China is completely destroyed, split apart, and suppressed. There is no “it’s not worth it” when the other side is calling to sit on a throne of Chinese skulls.
