And I don't think US and China will wage a head-on full-fledged war. Many countries hope so, e.g., Japan, Korea, Australia, Vietnam, etc. However, American capitalists and Chinese communists do have something in common: they all hate wealth destruction.
I have something in my mind in the past few years: finally US and China are approaching equilibrium in western terms or 阴阳互动 in Chinese terms. There is not going to be either WWIII or Code War 2.0. It is going to be a Cold Peace 1.0 for decades to come.
It is my wish that there will be no other major conflict for the next two decades, and that hopefully after the end of those two decades, technology and science would have advanced to the point of fundamentally changing society and geopolitics. Where fights over resources and ideology would become rarer and avoidable. Something like a "post-scarcity" state.
Which is why the downfall of the USA will come from an internal situation rather then an external threat. The red signs are all there and Biden is desperately trying to win brownie points on the foreign side rather then focusing on the home front that is rapidly deteriorating its each passing second. Someone should tell biden, the moment that the USA can no longer use easily purchased gas/oil and have access to food (both of which are under attack in every sense of the word), is the moment when the civil war starts and with how chaotic the situation is and how violent the USA is, the fight will never end and the nation will quickly rip itself apart.
If that happens, China will be the one that stands and will have the clout and strength to dictate the terms in the future and the USA will require possibly the UN under Russias and Chinas direction to restore what is left behind and given how insane these people are, I don’t really have much hope for these People given how this shooting incident showed how even now, they will not change simply because of the likes of Mitch McConnell blocking any policy that could’ve done something. The USA is finished, it only a matter of time, I mean if they cannot defend Ukraine after 8 years of prep time, they simply cannot defend anyone and as a result, Europe basically lost access to the oil and gas and grains due those traitors in Brussels. What other nation will be willing to still there neck out then
