It might honestly be time to look for a way out, things are going to be wild in 2024. I was honestly surprised at the bloodlust the american public have for the russians. Can you imagine what kind of crazy shit they'll pass when it's time to deal with us though? They already don't see us as human.
There is always hope. A charismatic politician who speaks the truth and is pragmatic can get a lot of support in America.

We are, always, just a single election away from changing peoples minds to embrace Chinas rise as good for America, to help rebuild a modern America.

The current Chinese ambassador is doing a good job cultivating the next generation of national level politicians, state politicians, in GOP states.

Millenials and Gen Z get their news from TikTok and are much harder to bullshit than boomers.

How do you think a President AOC, or a Sanders would treat China?

I honestly think they'll treat China the same. The main reason being that the US cannot have a peer competitor, relations will only get better if they kneecap China into decline.

Sanders and AOC wouldn't even be president, they are controlled opposition.

Please be realistic, the only way your fantasy would occur is if there are Chinese naval bases on the Pacific and Atlantic coast of US.

And let me just add that relations could also improve if China kneecaps the US into decline (if that's possible), it's just not something I see China actively going for unless there are no other options, especially since let's be honest, it would hurt both sides.

I think China should promote people to people relationship and continue to work with US companies to gain influence within US. Even with all the anti-Chinese propaganda and indoctrination, there are still plenty of people who are neutral or undecided on China. If they manage to convince even 1% of the population, they can use that to do a lot of psyops or influence ops within the US.

My fantasy is nothing more than exposing the truth to Americans, which will obviously come true in the end, because the truth has a nasty habit of hanging around.

We're now under the "五毛" CIA list, but at least we're getting paid per post lol

Back to being serious though, wasn't that what the Confucius institute was for?

Yes, and that's why they're bent on trying to remove them but its not the only way China does people to people relationship. The most effective tool China uses is business relations, which the neo-hawks in the US is trying really hard to ruin but is unable to do so. For developing countries, BRI plays a big role in gaining influence in their countries.

This is what some user here meant that soft power comes naturally with hard power, as China's economic power grows, their influence even in countries that declare China as their mortal enemy will grow, and as times goes more opportunities for influence present themselves that can exploited, accumulating into friendly relations with the country.
